I did not have a good experience. I saw him for a novasure . My uterus was normal. He did not share that. Almost cancelled the novasure....he talked me into it. After the novasure everything fell out: uterus, cervix, bladder, and rectum. He completed a partial hysterectomy, cystercele, and rectocele. He did not put me back together properly. I have since been to 4 different doctors they all say he put me back together to o tight which has caused a plethora of problems. Get a 2nd opinion .

Made me feel SO uncomfortable. Don’t call me “fertile mertyl” while doing a transvaginal ultrasound. Also didn’t communicate with the other doctor and did not review my lab work with me. Super bad appointment ????

I did not have a very good time with Dr. Portz. He never finished with me as far as Iam concerned and told me to find another doctor ... *I felt hurried, and not able to explain, I felt like he did not understand my handicapps. and didn't want to take the time to listen .. Never checked my hormone levels, or did anything I thought he should have done ... Glad to be away from him ..

I was referred to Dr Portz for unexplained vaginal bleeding. He did a biopsy which came back negative. Because of family history we opted for total abdominal hysterectomy. An exam of uterus post surgery found stage one cancer was present. The surgery was curative and i now follow up every 6 months to make sure it doesn't return. Dr Portz is easy to talk to and I feel that we are partners in my healthcare.

Dr. Portz was very compassionate and took my concerns very seriously. He spent as much time as I needed, and did not make me feel rushed, nor did he seem impatient. The only problem I had--is that a medication he ordered, I knew my insurance wouldn't cover. He assured me they would. They didn't. I was supposed to hear back from staff today to see if it needed prior authorization, but didn't receive a call. Dr. Portz, though, is great.
