St Louis, MO |
While during a total hip operation my father died from a heart attack, that was we were told, the truth was that he lost 3 liters of his 5 liters of blood which would cause anyone to die of a heart attack. Nothing was ever said of why, except later a resident told us this, sadly Dr. McD never said a word, I wish he would have but that is the way it is, make a mistake, that happens but not to say what really happened, well that's probably as much the attorney's fault as it is the surgeon. Sad!!
in Carlyle, IL |
My dad recently had 2 surgeries on his knee this summer, and I was very disappointed each time since he never spoke face-to-face to any of the family members once the surgery was finished. He would call from the surgery suite and talk on the phone conveying his findings, but never sat down and talked directly with us. Plus when we tried to be there for morning rounds, we missed him despite being there twice at 5 am.
St. Louis, MO |
The information he told us regarding post-surgical limitations and return to sport was incorrect and in complete contrast to the information we received the next day from the radiologist to whom he referred us. This was not a misunderstanding or miscommunication, as my spouse and I are faculty professors who asked clear, direct questions. I would never bring my child back to Dr. McDonald.
Springfield, MO |
He was not welcoming, and wanted to be really fast with the appointment. Very rude.
