This content was provided by Dr. Rodgers "Dr. Rodgers is a board certified ophthalmologist, and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has lived in New Mexico most of his life, and has cared for patients in Rio Rancho, Albuquerque, and Farmington. He is a cum-laude graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Navy, and later as the State Surgeon for the New Mexico Army National Guard. While a Naval flight surgeon, he received the Surgeon General's Award. He has received numerous academic and professional awards such as the Visx Star award in 1999 for being recognized as one of the top 100 U.S. Lasik surgeons. In 2002 he was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He has extensive experience as a Lasik surgeon and has a special interest in lid and oculoplastic surgery."
