Over the past several years I have had three orthopedic procedures performed by Dr. Middleton: closed reduction of dislocated right hip (original surgery done by different surgeon); surgical repair of fractured elbow; and, most recently, left total hip replacement in Feb. 2016. Each time I was impressed by Dr. Middleton's kindness, unhurried manner, willingness to listen, to answer questions, and provide thorough information. I have been completely satisfied with the results of each procedure.

I had full knee replacement. He never seemed interested in my concerns. I had a very bad experience after the surgery, involving pain medication and depression and I felt completely alone with my problems. I also felt rushed in to surgery that I was never sure I needed.
      in Mequon, WI |
Dr. Middleton listened to my explanation of my knee pain. He acted upon the pain immediately. He was sympathetic to see me in such pain. I would recommend him highly. He has successfully replaced both my knees.
      in Racine, WI |
He performed shoulder surgery on me. I am still in constant pain, limited range of motion. He signed me off as recovered.
      in Milwaukee, WI |
Dr. Middleton is neither a great communicator nor listener. He rushes through appointments, giving you the minimal information on your diagnosis. When you ask questions, he paternalistically stands up and says not to worry, to wait until the next appointment. I'm glad I got a second opinion on an MRI because he either wasn't able to, nor did, read the MRI for himself and trusted a quickly-produced MRI report. When seeing the expert for that issue, I learned more. Great office. Subpar doc.
