Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Park "Dr. Don Young Park is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon with a particular interest in minimally invasive spine surgery. He was born and raised in Los Angeles. He is proud to be an alumnus of UCLA and part of the faculty at UCLA.

Dr. Park received his medical degree from the UCSD School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency and spine surgery fellowship at Stanford. During residency and fellowship, Dr. Park published groundbreaking research in stem cell transplantation in spinal cord injury using the rat model. For his efforts, he was awarded multiple research awards. Dr. Park is currently a reviewer for The Spine Journal.

Prior to joining the faculty at UCLA, Dr. Park was in private practice in the Bay Area. This experience in private practice provided valuable insight in giving exemplary patient care and service. He has a special interest in medical education and clinical research, which brought him back to academic medicine at UCLA."

Doctor spent 10 minutes with me. Told me, a patient in my 20s, to live with back pain. He said my pain will get worse over time. Told me to stop working out. Didn't offer a solution.

Dr. Park initially cared for me during an acute episode of spinal stenosis.
