second opinion
we went for a second opinion to him and liked the first thing he said. 'they did good by you, stay under their care and I'll stay involved in the background if you need'. We trust him. We have 2 cardiology doc's now, 60 miles apart. and he is the one we go to for the tough decisions.

Dr M is the only reason we drive to Cooperstown (which we hate doing). He is their rock and rick star. Don't expect any fluff or pampering, because he tells it like it is. He fixed my airtic valve and stented my widow maker and treated my wife's BP and AFIB. I am stronger now but still fighting with COPD (wish he could fix that too).

The best hands in the business but being the most requested MD in Bassett (my son works with him in the procedure room) makes time under his care very valuable. Definitely worth the wait based on the result he obtained on me, although the wait was hard pill to swallow. Can we clone him please.

Dr Menzies was a new Dr for me,I’m from Florida where I have had triple by pass, and 16 stents. I have very small veins and not very good,he listened to me and agreed my wrist would not work for me. He was kind and compassionate and he made me feel confident. What a blessing he is God Bless this man.

Dr. Menzies is wonderful. I went to him for a TAVR aortic valve replacement and he was compassionate and thorough. I ended up not being able to go through with the procedure due to some complications, but he did perform the coronary catheterization. The personal attention by him and the Basset staff was A+++.

Not the average doc of today. Very calm and confident. The hospital staff told me he's the best, I mean everyone I met there. But is he worth the drive to Cooperstown and the hassle of finding parking? Most definitely!

Came to ER with chest pain. Dr Menzies did cardiac cath and found major hard to get through blockages. Went into afib and shocked 3 times. 3 stents. He saved my life. Very patient and informative. Calming and to the point at the same time. Excellent physician. Thanks Dr Menzies.
