I have been seeing Dr. Tsarwhas for 21 (since I was 27) years through multiple cancers. He has always been such an amazing doctor! He took the time to explain the options and what each one entailed every time!

I have no doubt Dr. Tsarwhas is good at what he does, but he seems to make decisions FOR his patients rather than WITH them. The decisions come from the top-down with no patient buy-in. Also, he is very bound to guidelines' recommendations, rather than seeking customized treatments as a result of new research. When insurance denied a treatment, he merely accepted the decision, rather than pushing back. I need to know someone has my back in fighting cancer, and I didn't feel he was invested one way or another in me, as a patient.

It is impossible to think of going through my cancer journey with anyone besides Dr. Tsarwhas, he is kind, caring and compassionate, he calmed my fears when I was newly diagnosed and they were at a all time high. It has now been 16 years and he continues to be there anytime I need to talk to him or when things show up on scans, he always calls back and listens to my concerns, I continue to see him once a year and I actually look forward to our visits. HE HAS BEEN MY DOCTOR FOR 7 YEARS TREATING MY TERMINAL ILLNESS AND HAS KEPT ME ALIVE. HE IS ONE OF THE BEST, IF NOT THE BEST, YOU WILL FIND. NOT ONLY DOES HE COMMUNICATE WELL WITH PATIENTS, HE TAKES THE TIME TO RESPOND TO PHONE CALLS AND EMAIL PROMPTLY. HE IS WELL ABREAST OF ALL EVENTS IN HIS FIELD LIKE NEW TREATMENTS AND VOLUNTEERS HIS TIME SERVING AND PROVIDING MEDICAL CARE IN THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES. HIS ONLY PROBLEM IS HE IS TOO GOOD AND TOO MANY PEOPLE WANT TO HAVE HIM AS THEIR DOCTOR.
