Patient Comments (4)
This was a post surgical appointment (Dr Eliott was not the surgeon). We waited over 3 hours to see him and he spent less than 2 minutes with us. He looked at the eye and said the infection had cleared up but there was zero discussion beyond that. No discussion regarding antibiotic medications and whether to continue use etc. The waiting room was packed, people were complaining about the wait time and we left with the impression he was just churning through his patients..Very disappointed.
Hello - We are sorry to learn you were not happy with the wait time for your post surgical appointment. We strive to provide excellent service to our patients and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your experience further to ensure your concerns are fully addressed. Would you please call Patient Relations at 617-573-3008 or send an email to Susan_Corbett@meei.harvard.edu. Thank you.

Dr Eliot is an excellent retinal specialist. The support staff are efficient and kind. I have been seeing Dr. Eliot since 2014. He and his residents have saved my eyesight. Mass Eye and Ear is a teaching hospital so time needs to be spent with a resident checking you before you see Dr Eliot. Please be patient- it is worth your time.

Very experienced & knowledgeable in treatment of serious eye injuries. Dedicated to the wellness of patient first & foremost. Excellent personality & manner, including a great sense of humor, which I truly appreciate. Patiently answers all questions honestly & in understandable language. Definitely instills me with confidence & hope! I am thankful to be in his care. (And I have seen MANY eye specialists for over 30 years.)

Looking for the best retinal specialist? He is the finest! Wonderful personality, talented surgeon, tells you the truth about your condition. He does his very best for you. Sometimes I have waited over 2 hours to see him, but isn't your vision worth that time? I would wait 4 hours to see him.
