Dr. Cestari is awesome. He listened to me when I was dismissed by other doctors and he made me feel comfortable through the pre-op appointments and the surgery. He is patient and kind. I am grateful to have Dr. Cestari as a surgeon and to the Mass Eye and Ear team. My mobility is increasing after surgery. Looking forward to being able to see the world in a whole new way. Thank you so much Dr. Cestari.

Dr Cestari and his team at Mass Eye and Ear were beyond excellent. They made me very comfortable when performing the strabismus operation for my double vision. I can't thank them enough for how easy my recovery was. I was seeing correctly the day after the surgery. Why didn't I get this done years ago?

Surgery totally fixed my problem with adult strabismus from severe myopia. Recovery involved only very minor discomfort. Dr. Cestari and staff did a great job and I am totally satisfied with the outcome.

After a craniotomy I had double vision and was unable to drive for a little over two years. Although another surgery wasn't too high on my list, Dr. Cestari explained the pros and cons and helped me come to the decision that I should have eye surgery to correct my strabismus. I had the surgery one week ago and was surprised by how quickly my eyes started to feel back to normal. Dr. Cestari and his team were attentive and made me feel at ease with the whole process, from pre-op visits all the way through surgery and post-op. I feel fortunate to have had Dr. Cestari as my surgeon and would highly recommend him to others!

After an MVA which left me with a TBI, my vision was impaired. I needed help to see, as my poor vision was affecting my everyday life. Dr. Cestari performed two surgery's on my eyes. I can honestly say that now I can see great. My life is getting back to normal. I was given the best care you could ask for. Also Dr. Cestari was very open with his decision on how to proceed to fix my vision. Dr. Cestari is an excellent Physician and Surgeon. Top notch in my book.

Dr Cestari got me as a patient at the very end of my rope. I have a rare brain disorder and losing my sight quickly and also very symptomatic. Most dr.'s were not listening to me, for the pain and that I was still having issues. I met him in Jan 2020, after two meetings, a LP, and a multitude of vision field tests... He realized that I needed to go for a shunt. He fought for me. as a whole patient, not just as eyeballs and brains. He literally patient advocated for me, for me a brilliant surgeon Dr. Curry, who performed it, and my sight is back. I love the whole group . Dr Cestari ... I can not thank him enough......2 hour drive is nothing compared to patient care. HIghly recommend. - Dawne 06-30-2020

Dr. Cestari was great. I was in a car accident 3 years ago, as a result I had double vision in all different angles. He was able to perform surgery to fix my diplopia. I am now able to see straight forward perfectly! I would highly recommend him to anyone who has been told double vision could never be fixed. He is a very smart doctor. Highly recommend him!

My problem was double vision. Dr Cestari shepherded me through the preparation, postponed the procedure due to a small cosmetic complication, and then performed the surgery. He couldn't have been more thorough, empathetic, and professional. I feel fortunate to have found him and been under his care.

Dr Cestari is highly competent, knowledgeable, and precise. He took the time to analyze my vision problems in light of my past, highly-complicated neurological history. He never rushed to conclusions and even postponed surgery once in order to take additional measurements. When the results of my surgery were not exactly as we had hoped for initially, he had confidence that his approach was the correct one and urged me to wait and see--which ultimately proved to be exactly right. Within two weeks of the operation, I was able to see correctly, drive safely, and enjoy seeing one single clear horizon for the first time in nearly two years. I am tremendously grateful for Dr Cestari's professionalism, skill, and expertise, and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of strabismus surgery.

Dr. Cestari is the first online review for a doctor I've ever done. I don't do reviews...but his skill, bedside manner, and overall the entire experience with his staff was such that I had to share. I was a more "inquisitive" patient...requiring a lot of information before I made the decision to do strabismus surgery with him, and he was very very patient, walking me through all of the details without being pushy. In the end, I can't believe how long I waited to do this surgery, and I can't believe the results! It's like magic...I hadn't even realized how bad my double vision one (it came on gradually), but I can see perfectly now, only one week out from surgery, and am able to read and drive at night again. (Note: I'm only 35!)

Dr. Cestari restored my vision with strabismus surgery after a year of double vision due to an unknown cause. The surgery simply brought me back to life in a matter of hours. I cannot thank Dr. Cestari enough. Three days later I am back to my normal routine, seeing and feeling great. So very grateful. Five stars!!

Dr. Cestari was referred to me after I developed double vision. Following the first visit I quickly realized that I finally found a doctor that clearly understood my situation. With his staff they measured my eye problem and scheduled me for surgery. Everyone I interacted with was professional and caring. I had the surgery a week ago and my double vision has been corrected. Dr. Cestari took his time with me and carefully explained the surgery and answered all of my questions. His medical procedure for me is a miracle. I strongly recommend Dr. Cestari to any patients having double vision issues.

I am convinced Dr. Dean Cestari is THE doctor of choice for adult strabismus surgery. He was recommended to me by several respected, Boston area medical specialists. My experience proved them to be correct. I had fairly complicated problems stemming from Graves. He communicated kindly, knowledgeably and realistically about my condition, the treatment plan and expectations, making me confident he was my doctor of choice. He and his team are attentive and respectful. The positive result so far is proof positive of his technical ability. One needs to look no further than Dr Cestari for adult strabismus treatment.
