Dr. Mickelson was on time. Very pleasant. Checked me out thoroughly. He explained to me what he thought my problem was and what testing needed to be done. At this point I am awaiting further testing.

I met Dr. Mickelson when he took care of my son who was in a major accident in January 2019. He is very warm, compassionate, honest and caring. He explains information in an easy to understand manner and involves the patient in making decisions. I feel confident in his abilities and now I, too, am a patient under his care for chronic knee pain. I highly recommend him!

When I first came in to Dr Mickelson’s office I could barely use my right knee/leg. Damage to it was extensive and inoperable. With Dr Mickelson’s up beat and positive attitude, I followed his direction for PT and the proper brace that would alleviate the pain , I have made tremendous progress. I have recommended him to other friends that are facing knee issues also. I feel fortunate to have him on my “team” to get back out and enjoy the outdoors and an active lifestyle again.

I can't tell you my official diagnosis beyond "unusual case" because I didn't get one. Knee maltracking and chronic pain are in the chart, but it wasn't enough for Mickelson to venture a plan of care. It would be unfortunate to have him as a physician if you didn't have the benefit of good health insurance to seek a second opinion, something he encouraged me to do three times, which my husband and I both agreed translated to, "I don't know or care; please go somewhere else."

I had a ‘bumpy’ start with Proliance clinic overall. I kept getting scheduled with PA’s who gave me varying diagnosis’ and treatment. They didn’t return calls for many days after my MRI’s and when they did, I got return calls from Medical Assistants who read the results and couldn’t answer any of my questions. THEN I FOUND DR MICKELSON. He Is extremely competent and did everything he committed to (calls, surgery, treatment). He is a fantastic doctor. I’m 11 days post op from a shoulder surgery and have nothing but great things to say. I’ve listened to his instructions and I feel great so far. proliance should feel honored to have a doctor like him on staff. He is the only reason I returned to that clinic.

I would highly recommend Dr. Mickelson and his staff for any procedures. From the initial visit, surgery and follow ups I felt I was well taken care of and I would not hesitate use him again. Although I plan on being a little more careful in the future to avoid surgery!

After a thorough evaluation of my shoulder MRI and X rays, and strength test, and discussion, Dr. M. recommended a Platelet-Rich-Plasma injection rather than corrective surgery. My procedure by Dr. M. was well anesthetized, and constantly communicated while watching the live ultrasound. Amazing and efficient and so positive!

Developed excruciating shoulder pain & could not move my arm more than 5-6" away from my body. Did not know Dr. Mickelson. First, appointment- competent, pleasant manner. Diagnosed as severe frozen shoulder (new term to me). Two injections with painkiller and a corticosteroid. By time of follow-up appt 2 weeks later, pain almost gone and range of motion remarkably better. He says reason for the rapid improvement was because I got in to see him so quickly; I think it was his skill. A++

This was our first appointment with Dr. Mickelson and we were very impressed. He took a lot of time to get to know us and did a throughout evaluation. We felt very good about his conclusions and treatment. We hope we don't have to see Dr. Mickelson again ;), but if we need an orthopedic, he would be our first choice!
