Dr. Mickelson performed a knee replacement for my husband in July 2019 - and everything about his surgery and treatment was exceptional. Both my husband and I trust Dr. Mickelson - and my visit with him did not diminish our opinions! I have great confidence in Dr. Mickelson knowledge, expertise and skills!

Dr. Mickelson was extremely patient and thorough when talking me through my options for recovering from my injury. We talked through the pros and cons together and he answered all my questions. Dr. Mickelson is an attentive, caring doctor and everything you’d look for in a doctor after suffering an injury. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with him during my recovery process. I’d ask like to add that his medics assistant, chase is awesome as well. They’re both super caring and do such a great job putting you at ease and making sure you actually feel like a patient they care about. Thank you Dr. Mickelson and Chase!

Found him a couple years ago after comprehensive searching after losing my 35 year ortho to cancer. He is the best! Tells you the truth and doesn’t try to convince you to do anything but provides you with the facts to make your own decision. He’s truly sports med focused. Fabulous for old athletes who consider chopping up the body a last resort. Go to the gym! Hubby loves him too.

My first visit was good, Dr asked lots of questions about activities & past surgery history. Second visit was rushed, as I checked in 2 other people also checked in for same Dr, possible over scheduled. Saw Dr 20 minutes after scheduled appointment & for 10 minutes. MRI showed not issues but there wasn’t any discussion as to what was causing my pain. Made me aware of 2 injects which he didn’t recommend, lose weight ( I’m about 20 lbs overweight) or PT which I choose.

Dr. Mickelson was very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He did not rush through the exam. Also, every staff member - from scheduling, his assistant, to the x-ray technician, were all incredibly kind. I would definitely recommend him.

I met the Dr. after a visit to the ER with severe shoulder and arm pain! Dr. did a thorough exam, blood work, and X-rays and found a Fracture. The Dr. changed his schedule to accommodate an earlier time for my surgery! His patience and genuine concern were so appreciated! He did not hesitate to explain everything to my family. After 40 years of being a nurse myself, I would highly recommend Dr Mickelson!!

Considerate, knowledgeable and excellent at relaying information and advice. I left feeling optimistic after months of pain and inability to function normally. I felt the approach was conservative and educated and careful. He is a surgeon yet did not rush to cut. I will feel confident following his advice into the future. Staff was excellent also.

I saw Dr. Mickelson for treatment of closed displaced trimalleolor fracture of left ankle. The visit was part of the referral by Swedish emergency center in Issaquah. Dr. Mickelson and his staff were great. I was seen and treated promptly. The doctor took the time to explained to me what happened and the next step in the treatment to get me well. So far my experience with Dr. Nicholson and his staff has been very positive and I’m very pleased with the visit.
