If you want straight answers, Dr Trujillo is the doctor for you. He is the first physician and specialist to accurately diagnose and treat my back problem. I have seen physicians all across the nation. Military, VA and private practice doctors just ignored the issue. After a couple of diagnostic tools and he has been working on me for over a year. Best I have felt in 50 years!

Wow, after reading the other reviews I'm in disbelief. I have DDD, spondylosis, spinal stenosis, cord flattening and so much more. I have been to BNI, Chapel Hill and Duke for treatments/options. Dr. Trujillo has seen me twice ( which is more than most Drs in pain management. 1st cost then a PA or NP after that). I have been offered numerous treatments including the spinal nerve stimulator and I am on Healthy Choice Az. I set my boundaries, as far as what envasive things I would do (I have had fusions, nerve ablation, etc) and they have respected them. I have had no problems getting my meds to a level that allows me to, as much as possible, function as a normal healthy human. They staff has always been friendly and quick to answer any questions. By far one of the best experiences I have had with pain management.

Dr. Trujillo and PA Michelle and PA Hall told all of us Pt's (non cancer) that he had to lower our meds because we "were not state compliant"with the new opioid Epidemic Act Law. He said he had no choice but was that true? I contacted Cara Christ's office at the AZ Dept of Health. She states that this doctor like many others have. over reacted to the law causing increased and undo pain for people who were already on opioids for pain management by wrongfully lowering their daily morphine equivalent to 90 ME daily knowing full well that they were exempt! I quote from Cara Christ's own blog about that law: " We do want to clarify that the new prescribing regulations are not intended to impact current chronic pain patients already receiving opioid medication. There is no legislation requiring providers to reduce opioid doses or stop prescriptions; medical management is left to the discretion of the provider." Go read it for yourself. Hypocrites to the Hippocratic oath! Seeking Lawyer now.

Dr Trujillo’s nurses are amazing! However, the doctor didn’t live up to their praise. He was rushing because it was the end of the day, I guess. He has a speech he apparently gives all of his patients about meds. On a positive note, he did order the appropriate radiology requisitions right away. Hopefully the follow up visit will yield a positive review.

The Dr explained and answered our questions. My only complaint was related to circumstances beyond the doctors control. Over the past six months only two of my monthly visits were with the doctor, I found his staff to be helpful, there was only one incident where I was dissatisfied with the staff, and I found upon my next visit that staff member with no longer employed there.

He normally does not see patients and the nurses that do are allowed to fake records about you and will lie to you about tests like mri's. If you are on state healthcare they will tell you your a low life and not worth spending money on for things like stimulator that reduces pain. In the office alone with them record it because they've been known to threaten you in many ways. They see you for a few minutes just to tell you they are refilling your meds and will refuse to listen to anything else.

This Pain Clinic treated me as a "Pill Seeker?" If you want this kind of medical customer service please engage this clinic. if its pills you want - go see them but please do not expect a "Pain Management" plan. If you want pain management services go someplace else.

He was impressive at first appt. I wanted off of pain meds and he said he could do. Then I was pushed off onto Ms Hall who was not so impressive. Back to Trujillo and now he gives me bad info and it is clear he has no experience weaning off med I've been on. They referred me to cardiologist then after jumping thru all those hoops, they overruled him. They charge for every phone call, like scheduling xray. They are not very knowledgeable people incl the great doc. They treat me like an insect.

Show Low AZ – Dec 12, 2017
Staff (aside from Trujillo) was GREAT (if that's what you're looking for in a "Doctor"). Aside from his lack of honesty, and ABUNDANCE of concern over his own time being "wasted" if he spends more than 8 minutes per client, I would also find him acceptable. However, as someone who is well acquainted with what a "good doctor" looks like, this "individual" is absolutely NOT it. After 5 visits with him, and receiving ONLY medication, his concern is far from being about me. "The Patient".

After waiting 3months for an appt I was told on the morning of my appt that they do not accept my insurance. I believe this office is full of halfwits and the doctor himself is a quack as I had been in contact with thisoffice several times during my 3 month wait. Every time I spoke to someone they asked what insurance I have. Stupidity at best

I don't know where all of these negative reviews are from! I had visited health grades before I ever saw Dr. Trujillo and thus went to my appointment with very low expectations. I was completely blown away by him and his staff! Dr Trujillo is the coolest doctor I have ever met! I definitely recommend!

Dr Trujillo is the best pain doctor I have ever had! I've been seeing him for about two years and he has always taken time to explain things thoroughly to me, as well as answer my question. His staff members are all very friendly and treat me like I am a real person. I would recommend them to anyone dealing with chronic pain.

This doctor is inconsistent with his recommended treatment plan! He said something different every time I talked to him. All but called me a liar, out loud. Accepted me as a new patient and after making several commitments to continue my care he reneged and said he didn't say that; knowing that the consequences for a lack of continued care was a terminal situation for me. He lied about the lab work and the compounding pharmacy.

Dr. Trujillo in my opinion has a lousy bedside manner. I seen him for a few months he only did an exam once he wrote a prescription and walked out. The waiting time in the reception room could be up to one and a half hours I was also rescheduled at least twice.
