David N. Westerdahl, MD, FAAFP RMSK is a Staff physician for the Department of Orthopedics at Cleveland Clinic Florida. He completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic's main campus in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed a Family Medicine Residency at Florida Hospital in Orlando, FL. He is also certified through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. With a background in primary care and sports medicine, Dr. Westerdahl manages a wide range of non-operative orthopedic and sports medicine injuries, and performs a variety of ultrasound guided interventional procedures. He serves as Team Physician for the Florida Panthers NHL hockey team, Executive Director Cleveland Clinic Florida site for The Player's Trust "Brain and Body" program powered by the NFLPA, Director of Medical Sports Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Florida, Director of Rehabilitation, Team Physician for the Sagemont School in Weston, FL, and CCF Medical Director for the Ft. Lauderdale A1A Marathon. His specialty interests include sports injuries, medical orthopedics, exercise related medical disorders, musculoskeletal ultrasound, regenerative medicine, and human performance.
