We see Dr Walk for my husband's ALS. He was our diagnosing physician. I will always appreciate the way he gave us this wretched diagnosis. Ever helpful, patient, and kind. Dr. Walk exhibits a refreshing lack of egomania- he is unfraid to say he does not know something or is unsure. In this situation, I most appreciate his good heart and status/ experience in research medicine as well as patient care.

Dr. Walk runs late, but he is well worth waiting for. He spends as much time as necessary with you. He listens well and is not afraid to say he doesn't know what is wrong, and is willing to refer you to specialist(s) who might shed more light on your situation. He has a reputation for leaving no stone unturned and he gets answers as a result. He is a skilled neurologist as well as a warm human being.

Dr Walk is not only the State expert in Peripheral Nueropathy. He diagnosed my condition at 48 yrs old. Due to insurance issues I had to leave for 13 years! I was told by the other doctor to go back to Dr Walk! After checking with my insurance again, I found out he WAS in network! I was on cloud nine-very excited! Dr Walk did more for me in 2visits than the other physician did in 13 years!! There is no better Doctor for Peripheral Nueropathy in Minnesota!! He is THEE BEST!!

This is a person who recognizes plantor extensor/Babinski Sign as a “psychological factor”. Someone not in Minnesota asked me “Does anyone in MN have any basic knowledge about neurology ? This is the first time that we know that Babinskin sign is psychological. Who tells them that ? If someone in our hospital makes this mistake, he or she will be prohibted from work for a few weeks to months."
