First appointment took about 2 months to get in. It was decided to schedule and EDG Scope (7 weeks out) and CT Scan to try to get quick results. Dr was on vacation for first few days. He took until Thursday of the following week to get me my results. I called everyday. He DOES NOT do email or voicemails. Only way to contact is through staff. Staff is not good with follow up. After EDG it was confirmed that there was a tumor at the junction of my esophagus and stomach. Later biopsy came back positive. Follow up after scans was terrible. Definitely would not recommend this doctor.

Having had just one visit, I do not feel that I can answer this other than to say my labs and more time to find out the contributing factor(s) to my liver situation will give me satisfaction. Overall, the visit was reassuring.

Not listening? No, it is failure to ask the right question or to delve. Think about it, someone sets up an appointment to see the doc. Who wants to dole out that money to just answer a question or 2, to have their heart listened to or to get a script or sample? No, the patient expects the professional to do their job. C’mon, do you due diligence doc! Nah, not recommending!

My experience has been awful. I have been medically neglected by this office. I sought help from a "specialist" for a very unpleasant and painful illness. I am left still sick and now very angry and upset. If you are looking for someone to help you and advocate for you, please look elsewhere.

My best friend has been through 3-5 rounds of C diff (October through April), clearly a case of recurring or continuous illness. Never advocated for her (with the insurance company) to have FMT surgery and HIS mistake cancelled the first one. Zero stars would be appropriate. She now has transferred to another doctor.

Dr. Simmons Nurse Michelle is extremely rude and abrupt with her patients. She took my BP 120/68 and I told her it is never that low, can you retake it? I have high BP and it never runs below 150. As I was speaking to her she walked out of the room and closed the door without even answering me. I know she fudged my vitals. Called and asked a question about a colonoscopy prep and she could not answer or would not answer my question just kept repeating,"you can have clear liquids" Unbelievable!!!

I came to this practice with severe gallbladder problems. After recommending several very expensive tests on my stomach, which were negative, Dr. Simmons reluctantly agreed to send me to a surgeon for the gallbladder to be removed. I found Dr. Simmons to be sarcastic and condescending and as far from empathetic as he could be. I am amazed this man is a medical "specialist". His true specialty is making his patients feel silly and stupid for seeking relief from horrible digestive maladies.
