Dr. David Salvay is truly amazing, with his knowledge, answering patient concerns, ability to explain the pros and cons of what is needed. He is also very gracious with his time, has a wonderful personality, smiles and has true concern for his patients. In my opinion, Dr. Salvay is the BEST ophthalmologist in Orange County!!!
    in Laguna Woods, CA |
Dr. Salvay is a very nice and competent Ophthalmologist. He has provided guidance regarding my Blepharitis and my condition has become almost a non-issue with my eyes. He has also written my prescription for glasses and I can see better than ever. Due to only having sight in one eye, his extra care is very much appreciated. He and his staff are caring and competent and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone having any issues with your eyes, vision or disease.

Left my right blind due to to a faulty lens that scratched my cornea, Second lens that was inserted into my right eye after catactact surgery on March 1 was also unsuccessful. . I hemmoraged after a cataract surgery in which his second attempt to implant a lens left me to hemmorage, Left me without a a lens implant and no vision. Having to visit many professional eye dioctors for further surgery results.

Dr Salvay took me in very quickly on an emergency case, (the next morning), was very thorough and helpful. His bedside manner is terrific, his staff is very good and professional. He performed surgery on my eye the same day and had me come back for another surgery the next day. He is very good at listening and explaining options. I am extremely satisfied and highly recommend him for any eye problems.

    Tustin, CA |
Dr. Salvay is extremely thorough and explains everything in details
    Newport Beach, CA |
New, young doctor does not take patient's quality of life into account, rather relying on his personal judgement and the likelihood of the insurance company to pay for a procedure.
Dear Patient, I make every effort to understand my patients' goals when determining treatment for a given condition. Unfortunately, given the complex nature of the insurance landscape and myriad plans now available, it is impossible at the time of the visit to know what medications or procedures a particular plan will cover. I always encourage my patients to contact me if they are unable to afford a given medication so that I can recommend a suitable alternative. Sincerely, D. Salvay, MD
    in Presque Isle, ME |
Dr. Salvay has seen my daughter several times this year for multiple issues. He is always kind and was great with my little girl. Dr. Salvay was extremely knowledgeable about what was taking place with her and did a great job explaining to us what was happening. I would highly recommend him for all of your eye care needs.

    Dr. Salvay says...

As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, I have expertise treating a wide variety of eye conditions ranging from dry eye disease to cataracts to advanced macular degeneration. My goal with every patient is to take the time to truly understand the pertinent issues affecting their vision in addition to performing a comprehensive examination so that I can design a personalized treatment plant aimed at addressing the root cause of their eye problems. Regardless of whether the plan is as simple as using artificial tears to treat dry eye symptoms or using advanced technology lenses in cataract surgery, I always  explain why I recommend a particular course of treatment and answer any questions or concerns patients have regarding their ocular conditions.

    Dr. Salvay says...

I perform a wide variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to cataract surgery (using standard or advanced technology intraocular lenses), glaucoma surgery, functional eyelid surgery, Botox injections, eyelash removal, placement of punctal plugs and a variety of laser procedures.
