He is a cardiologist specializing in adult cardiology; areas of expertise include cardiac disease prevention, treating congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, atrial fibrillation, syncope, coronary artery disease, ventricular arrhythmias, hypertensive heart disease, palpitations Hyperlipidemia. Dr. Sahar is expert in Consultative Cardiology, Critical Care Cardiology and has many years of experience caring for patients in both office based and in- hospital setting. He has served as Critical Care Unit Attending for over two decades at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Sahar also teaches at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physians and Surgeons, where he serves as Professor of Medicine. He has participated in both bench and clinical research, in years past has presented at national meetings and contributed as author to scientific publications. He serves as a member of the Columbia Division of Cardiology Chief of Service team. Dr. Sahar is a member of the Academy of Clinical Excellence at Columbia, a Fellow of the American Heart Association, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and Fellow of the American College Of Physicians. Dr.Sahar received his medical degree from College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University and completed his Cardiology Fellowship at St. Luke's Hospital Columbia University and subspecialty in Cardiac Arrhythmias and Electrophysiology at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Sahar cares for patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital; The Allen Hospital; and at the Corlear Avenue Columbia Doctor's Practice Site."
