I had never been a specialist before, only my primary care physician. My doctor referred me to Dr. Rubin for pain i was having in my lower back, that was giving me shooting pains down the back of my legs. After an MRI, Dr. Rubin assured me that I didn't need surgery (he didn't seem like most surgeons who want to operate just to operate). He was sincere and explained to me my issues with the pain I was feeling. He referred me to their in-house physical therapist to work on decompression and strengthening my lower back. My pain is getting less and less after just a few weeks. He's a surgeon who knows what he's talking about, what he's doing, and truly cares about his patients from my personal experience. I recommend him 100%. Thank you Dr. Rubin

Dr Ruben did lower back surgery on me while he was in Little Rock, AR. I had been told for years that there was nothing that could be done for my back. I went into surgery hurting, and I came out and the pain was gone. Over a year post op and everything is still great.

The staff, physicians, and nurses were all professional, compassionate, and efficient. They made sure that I was comfortable and that my condition was explained to me, along with all options for treatments - including any possible complications. I obtained optimum results and could not be more pleased with my experience at Legacy. I would definitely recommend Legacy!

I was excited and full of hope when I scheduled my appointment with Dr. Rubin. However, he was in such a rush to end the appointment and get out the door that he did not listen to my concerns. He only offered injections for my horrific pain. I was hopeful since Legacy promotes a "conservative approach", "minimally invasive" treatment plan that I would receive this.

I had severe pain from my low back, to my left leg. So bad I could no walk or stand for any length of time. Had a bulging disc at LS-S1. Back injections did not give me relief. Had a macro discectomy as outpatient, and I am pain free! - Jenny H.?

Both hands were completely numb. Doctor Rubin was worried that I wouldn’t get feeling back due to the severity of injuries. But as soon as the anesthesia wore off the feeling came back. I have had other surgeries and none were as successful as this one- Alan Bauer

Prior to procedure, I had constant pain in my left leg from my hip to my ankle. I also had numbness in my left foot. My lower back pain migrated from the tolerable to almost debilitating at times. After my procedure, I felt immediate and sustained relief in my leg and foot. Recovery was uncomfortable at worst with minimal pain from the actual surgery and, after about 10 day , I had no pain or lingering pain at all” – Scott

I couldn't walk without hobbling around. The pain was unbearable 90% of the time. After surgery, I don't have any pain. It's non-existent now compared to what it was - Ricky M.

I had severe (8-10) right leg pain since 11/16. I researched the internet and found Dr. Rubin's name and credentials on which he was highly rated and others were very impressed. He initially recommended steroid injections, which due to the level of my back condition were not effective. With no relief, he recommended surgery- lumbar decompression and fusion. It has been almost two weeks post-op and I am totally pain free. He and his staff spend much time and give detailed instructions, that if yo

Dr. Rubin explained everything that was going on in terms that I could understand. We set up a plan of action of how he thought it was best to treat my neck that would help me get relief while putting surgery for as long as possible

Dr. Rubin was extremely attentive to the problems I was having. He took great care to get to know and my needs. When the shots we tried were not as effective as I had hoped, I appreciate that he did not waste time knowing the surgery would likely help walk without pain again. Thanks to Dr. Rubin's expertise my quality of life has improved and will continue to get better. Jaime and Kristin could not be better people to work with. They truely listen and make me feel like I'm their priority.
