This content was provided by Dr. Rea "I have been with the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in the Department of Surgery for the past five and a half years, after completing my training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. I am very fortunate to practice with a group of colleagues of such expertise and diverse backgrounds; I am also very fortunate to have the opportunity to teach both medical student at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and residents in the Division of General Surgery - essentially helping to train the next generation of physicians and surgeons to master in complexities of surgical care."

This content was provided by Dr. Rea "My job as your surgeon is to perform a thorough and cost-effective evaluation of your complaint, to spend time educating you about the various options for treatment (both surgical and non-surgical) of your condition, to listen and answer your questions, and to help you arrive at a decsion about surgical managment of your disease process. My job is not complete until you undertand the goalsl of our surgery, the potential risks and complications, and the anticiptaed recovery."
