Dr. Privitera is a kind and gentle man. He has a great bedside manner. He explains and listens more than most my other dr. The only complaint is the wait time.

I can't say enough about Dr. Privitera. He performed surgery on my shoulder which had significant additional damage that was not seen on my MRI. I will forever be grateful to him for having the ethics, integrity and professionalism to do the right thing by repairing ALL of the damage in my shoulder as opposed to fixing only what he could see on my MRI. My surgery was twice as long as expected but my recovery is going well. I wish all doctors were as attentive to their patients as he is.

Dr. Privitera has been a godsend. Ii fell and had a lot of damage in my rotator cuff. He did not try to do surgery right away, we did the conservative route 1st which I appreciated. When i had to have surgery, he spent time letting me know what to expect and explained my MRI. Post op he did the same, my husband was also impressed. He is professional to say the least, with a sense of humor and treated me with respect and kindness. I am very thankful to him.

I met Dr.Privitera during an emergent situation. I cannot tell you how fortunate I feel that he was the Dr on call at the ER that day. It has been a long road to recovery but I wouldn't be where I am without him. He is kind, courteous, listens to all my concerns and I always feel like I am his only patient. I can't say enough good things about him.

I torn 3 ligaments in my right shoulder (what a mess). didn't want surgery, but try PT. Dr. P let me try, but in the end needed surgery. He thoroughly explained the options & what I could expect. I appreciated he didn't push me, just kindly answered all my questions & made sure I knew what to expect with & without surgery. He also had an outstanding Physical Therapy program that gave me better results than I expected (Dr. P is the only one in the area to use this!). Kind & brilliant doctor!
in Rochester, NY |
Dr Privitera is not only an excellent Dr., he is also a very special person. He takes care of the injury and the person. My injury was a life changing one for me, I went from an active person, to one who had to endure many painful therapies. Dr. Privitera encouraged me all the way.

He has always been kind. It is not just the treatment, but the care and empathy shown by him which makes the world a better place to live in. The personal attention and kidness show by him helped me overcome my fears about surgery.
