After a difficult labor I ended up with nerve damage that caused excruciating pain from my left hip to my left foot. It took a week and half to be seen by Dr. Olson. He ordered a MRI. I was in so much pain that we skipped insurance (which could take a week) & paid for it out of pocket. Results were sent to the Dr. in 24 hours. We called 3x and didn't hear back for a week. I ended up going to an acupuncturist and working with the PT to get better. The experience here was very poor.

I've seen Dr Olson for over 10 years now. I travel about 3 hours each way at this point in my life. He is completely worth the travel time. None of my other doctors are as respectful or observant.

Very caring and concerned: always shows direct attention to elderly patient. (Recommended by a chief of staff that we trusted and had dealt with for many years, and therefore patient was comfortable with Dr Olson from the start - trust goes a long way with patient comfort.)

One of the worst experiences. I work in hospitals and this was ridiculous. Bedside manner terrible. Completely cold as was his Med student he had us talk to first-which was completely pointless and unnerving. He put me in a position that caused my autonomic nervous system to go haywire and he shrugged it off as "anxiety". If being physically put in a position causes you pain and to stop breathing there is clearly something that needs to be looked in to. Being older doesn't equal experience.

His staff is great, but quite disturbingly, this physician balked to concur with diagnoses that already have been firmly established, and which are totally undisputed. Why? Who knows, but I will not return.

Dr. Olson is a great Doctor. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a good patient experience and quality care. Dr. Olson takes the time to talk to you, explains treatment and tests. He does have students from time to time and I found his students very knowledgeable, nice and approachable. The office staff is excellent and well trained. When it comes to acute care Dr. Olson fits you into the schedule ASAP, one of the best neurologists out there.

My experience was really poor. The doctor was training a student, so he spoke more to the student than me. After ordering several tests (all outsourced), I never got the results. After a couple weeks, I inquired and just got everything is fine, without any indication of next steps toward diagnosing my symptoms. I sent an email explaining my frustration and instead of receiving a response that showed any empathy toward patience, I received a certified letter discharging me as a patient. Bizarre

Dr. Olson was friendly but a disappointing experience. Referred to him for an EMG to rule out peripheral neuropathy. Ordered an MRI of neck & bloodwork & stalled on the EMG. Results: a mild stenosis and blood panel with mild elevated protein size. Stunningly he refused to answer my basic questions about the results of these tests and instead referred me to a Neurosurgeon, and an Oncologist. Both specialists practically laughed when I showed up to their offices. Seek help elsewhere.
