As an experienced oncologist, Dr. Mendelson should have looked at his patient and acknowledge that maybe there is something else wrong! Each visit he said, the cancer is gone, (he had surgery for lung cancer) he is just weak. The day my husband died, a scan was taken and the pancreatic tumor was massive! I should have been told this much sooner because a knowledgeable oncologist would have said, maybe there is something more wrong. My world, my husband, would have had time together!

Dr. Mendelson is a wonderful doctor. He guided my husband and I through my husband’s stage 4 cancer, and helped me sort things out when I was diagnosed with cancer. He is compassionate and thorough.

Dr Mendelson was repeatedly unprepared for my dad’s office visits. He kept getting facts about previous care wrong- like not knowing if my dad had previously had chemo before trying immunotherapy. He also never prepared my dad for his death- insisting that my dad would “probably out-live us all” despite having Stage 4 lung cancer that was inoperable. My dad was turkey shocked when I told him he had to go to hospice- another thing Dr M didn’t bring up and left it to us- the family. Truly awful

Maybe time to retire for this doctor. Go ahead if u just want to be pumped full of whatever chemo and infusion that he can make some money. I advise u to get a second opinion, maybe pick a younger dr

Dr. Mendelson in my opinion did not clearly explain to my deceased husband what his alternatives were at the time he had his one kidney removed and did not give him adjuvant therapy which should have been a MUST after his kidney removal. We would have gladly paid for it. He then developed stage four cancer in Nov. however seemed to be cancer free in April 2016. The follow up with Dr Mendelson's office was very poor in my opinion. My husband switched oncologists immediately in Nov.
