Morganton, NC |
Our first (and so far only) visit with Dr. Melon gets an A+++. He listened to us, actually read the information we filled out on the patient forms, asked us relevant questions, explained options we had as well as his recommendation, answered all questions we had, used his training and God given sense to make a diagnosis and give us a treatment plan - all WITHOUT doing unnecessary tests since the tests would not have changed his recommendation. We were WELL pleased 100%!
I want to personally thank Dr. Melon and his staff for their care for my 90 year old mother. His successful surgery on my mother's esophagus has allowed her to swallow normally for the first time in years. No more fears of her choking when eating! Thank you for your expert skills!!

I have a history of acid reflux and am at risk of throat cancer. Two years ago I had occasional difficulty swallowing food, a new and alarming experience. I explained to Dr Melon something's wrong. Using a very thin fiber optic scope he identified the problem as a benign granuloma of a vocal cord, not cancer, and no biopsy necessary. He recommended medication. Last week, after two years of omeprazole, the lesion is gone and the risk of cancer reduced. Thanks to Dr Melon.

I would gladly recommend Doctor Melon. My experience with him and his staff was unfailingly positive. I was referred to him for surgery to remove my thyroid, and despite my dismay at this outcome and the stress of having surgery for the first time, he was very reassuring and empathetic. He was also very thorough sharing information and answering questions. I feel confident about his judgement and skills and would not hesitate to see him again or recommend him to others.

After seeing several physicians, Dr. Melon was the first to show actual concern for my health issue. I did not feel rushed whatsoever during my appointment and he was very professional and personable and made good recommendations. This was my second visit with Dr. Melon.

Dr. Melon was able to reassure me that my problem was treatable and manageable. Dr. Melon has a youthful appearance but was able to put this 80 year old woman at ease. Dr. Melon schedule a round of test for my balance and dizzyness gave me a simple exercise developed by Dr. Cho that works for me. Grace Hospital did a MRI; his Hickory office had a Dr. Mooney do vestibular test on me & in both places, I was treated with dignity and care. I highly recommend Dr. Melon and his staff.
