I would recommend Dr. McLain to anyone that is experiencing arthritis problems or fibromyalgia problems. He is truly compassionate, caring and hard working to bring a course of action to help the patient receive help. There is not one negative thing that I can say about him. I have been under his care for more than ten years. I have a family member that I feel would be in a wheelchair had it not been for Dr.McLain with his knowledge worked out a plan to get his Rheumatoid Arthritis under control

My wife has been a patient of the Dr. for over a decade. She is on addicting meds. prescribed by him. He had an accident and now has no one who gives his patients the care needed. My wife has called many times an has been the same as being told OH WELL you are on your own. She is now going through withdraws with no help from Dr. McLain's office. His patients have been kicked to the curb for no plan B in place in case of accidents. We have done everything the rude people has suggested. No Help.

He is a knowledgable, caring physician. While he isn't on time with his appointments & you might have to wait an hour or more, he never rushes you when you are with him. Takes the time to listen to what is going on & does what he can to help. Best fibromyalgia doctor around, imho.

I went to Dr McLain for a few years. He diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. I also have spinal stenosis, spondynosis and since then I have neuropathy. I have recommended Dr McLain to friends. I stop going to him bc it got hard to travel out of town. He’s a good doctor. He helped me to receive disability.

He was my dr. for several years, had me on 7 meds. He refused to take me off any saying, They're all necessary. Later when I was in the hospital. The neuro took me off all of the meds Dr McLain prescribed. I was never put back on any of those & never missed them. Ive got arthritis in my knees, I wanted knee replacement. He said, I can have the surgery cause his mother had it & she's older than you. Even though 3 orthos said No, you shouldn't have it.

Inept doctor and staff. Doc caused unnecessary pain for a year. Staff won't answer phones, and when you finally reach them can't do standard operating procedures. It took 2 weeks to get a Medical Release form sent to my surgeon. Doctor did not recommend lasting injections -only short term solutions. Uncaring. Inept. Unprofessional. Harmful.

Doc always seemed focused on getting finished. Once, I had to stop him from walking out the door so I could ask questions. After 2 yrs, just before the opioid lesgislation passed, his office mgr called me on the day I had an appt. to say I was "dismissed," a task she seemed to enjoy. She then referred me to a provider without Fibromyalgia care, the reason I was seeing McLain in the first place! Later found he had "dismissed" other patients needing opioids for pain. Why is this not discrimination?
