Dr. David McCay is a primary care physician with board certifications in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He served five years in the United States Army on active duty in health care administration. Dr. McCay received his medical degree in 2003 from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky and completed his residency in 2007 at St. Louis University in Missouri. There, he served as Pediatrics Chief Resident and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. He next worked as an urgent care physician, then as a primary care physician providing adult and pediatric outpatient and inpatient care. Dr. McCay has held positions as Assistant Chief, then Chief of Medicine at Indiana's Floyd Memorial Hospital. He chose to join Paladina Health in 2016 because of our focus on quality versus quantity regarding patient wellness. Dr. McCay is a strong advocate of preventive care and believes that working strategically toward healthful living translates to overall wellness. When he's not enjoying the company of his wife, daughter, dog and cat, Dr. McCay spends his free time pursuing travel, music, reading, running and watching sports.
