Dr. Markowitz has been our gastroenterologist for 20+ years. At my last visit he examined me re a particular symptom. When that exam turned up nothing wrong, we made an appointment for further testing. An issue was corrected; because it is potentially serious, we have set up a follow-up checkup for early next year. This doctor asks, listens, and explains. He is extremely facile at addressing serious issues in a thoughtful, compassionate manner. I have just recommended him to my brother.

He is very nice but he did absolutely nothing to help me. I have a complex situation and even though he had my medical history in front of him, I felt he didn't believe me. Other than his nice demeanor I do not understand the good reviews.
