Dr. Kolessar did surgery on my dads elbow. He was absolutely amazing.
in Carbondale, PA |
I had hip pain for several years and a family member who is also in the health field recommended Dr. Kolessar. After acquiring all the test results needed Dr. Kolessar explained what was wrong and what his recommendations were. His office made all arrangements with the hospital, and my surgery took place on 2/8/2017. My hip is now all healed and I am very pleased. I trust him, his medical knowledge and his judgement completely. I highly recommend Dr. Kolessar, his staff and Geisinger Health.

It was a total knee replacement - and one of the most positive medical experiences I have ever had. The physician and his staff helped to keep me informed of every step of the procedure and every step I needed to take before and after to reach complete recovery. I can't say enough good things.

Dr Kolessar was not only an exceptional surgeon, his bedside manner was one of compassion and understanding.I had an accident 2 yrs ago which left me unable to work and at times walk, this was my last journey to regaining my life.He not only went above and beyond, he understood and worked with my fear and anxiety, not just as a doctor but as someone from type of family values that we both grew up with and never hesitated to explain things I didn't understand. He is A plus in my experience.
in Pittston, PA |
This was my first visit to Dr. Kolessar. He took time to study my knee and explain his findings. He made me feel as though nothing was more important to him than my knee. Grateful to be his patient!

I visited Dr. Kolessar due to an ongoing rt hip problem following a hip replacement. The surgeon who performed the surgery left me in the dark as to why after almost a year I was still having severe pain and numbness. Dr Kolessar , after reviewing my records and scans took a great deal of effort to explain everything and the reasons behind the pain. He is an excellent choice and wish I had replace my hip

Dr K did my shoulder surgery 15 years ago. he then decided to focus on knees and hips. when I started having problems I set up an appointment. going by my symptoms and a exam he performed, he said I had a torn meniscus. he sketched the tear and explained what he wanted to do. I scheduled surgery and after he showed me pictures with the exact tear he had sketched. He answered all my questions and told me what to expect and he was right on the money. He and his team are fantastic and helpful

Eight months ago I commented on the outstanding job Dr. Kolessar did on my hip revision surgery. I am now 7 weeks post surgery from a total knee replacement which I had Dr. Kolessar perform also. As with the hip revision the surgery is a complete success. I am having no pain at all and am now walking about 90% normal and expect to be 100% within another week or two. If you need hip or knee replacement surgery I would highly recommend Dr. Kolessar. Millard Davis
