I sought Dr. Kay's 2nd opinion re: chronic pain 2 yrs. after my severe calcaneous fracture and surgery. He spent considerable time listening to me describe my symptoms and how the pain impacts my life. Dr. Kay thoroughly reviewed with me the x-rays he ordered, examined my foot & explained all the surgical procedures, as well as risks, necessary to significantly relieve my pain if I decide to have further surgery. Dr. Kay was compassionate and his staff was very friendly and courteous.

Very little bedside manner.....felt like another number and honestly like my 15 y/o didn't receive adequate enough care for his fractured foot.....last thing he told him, was to "consider giving up sports."

Felt like a number. Doctor failed to diagnose, just said he wanted to do surgery. Didn't seem to care about me, just wanted to schedule the surgery. I went someplace else for a second opinion, they actually did an ultrasound and I do not need surgery. They will charge you a separate facility fee as well.

I tell anyone I know in need of an orthopaedic foot surgeon to visit Dr. Kay. He has performed three operations for needed tendon repairs since Oct. 2010, with the most recent being Jan. 2016. The team of anesthesiologists at the Crystal Clinic are top rate. They took the time to review my long list of allergies, medication list, and previous surgery experiences to provide me with the best pain-free surgery to date! All the staff at Crystal Clinic treated me with care and consideration.

Seems knowledgeable however was extremely rude and uncaring. Zero bedside manner.
