Pretty poor at listening. Has zero compassion for his patience. I have been seeing him for several years and he maybe the worst doctor I have ever seen. Find a different doctor.

I was a pt of Dr. Howell's for over 20 years. It is very sad to see such negative reviews. I moved to NM & had to find a new PCP, I am not happy. I was recently back in Flo. almost needed the services of Dr. Howell. I ended up in DePaul for 2 days and really, was not happy. Howell's practice was like Marcus Welby. IF you were sick, you could get an apt.... THAT day many times; not the 3 month wait I have now. I've been the Pt that needed the extra time before. The staff know. My family goes

Dr. Howell has been my go to doc for over 25 years.. I have complications from many illnesses but he will give you all the time you need.. He shoots it to you straight, unlike some other doctors.. If you like a doc that pays more attention to their computer then they do you, then you won't like Dr. Howell.. He listens and so should his patients.. His nurse does the work of two or three people but still does a fantastic job.. I have never left his office without feeling much better..

DR. Howell has been my physician for over 20 years. He is forthright, helpful, and has diagnosed my problems, and is always willing to listen. His office has always been available for urgent appointments, and the office is smaller, making if feel more like a family practice. His nurses (and there have been many over 20 yrs) have always been courteous, but can get frustrated when things fall behind because of the time Dr. Howell spends with patients. Only reason not 5 stars is office wait tim

Is Dr. Howell a good Dr? Yes. However, the whole office visit has changed. Wait times can be an hour to three wait because the secretary sets to many appointments for the same time. Dr. Howell does not always have a good bedside manner and he and his secretary will argue in front of patients. It seems like if they are having a bad day you should to. If your in need of a prescription and can't make it in they won't refill it and rarely call you back. So, I've moved on and wish I had sooner.

Worst experience I've had at the Dr office. I had shoulder pain for a month now. He had a Wash U student for the first time ever, stick me with cortisone in shoulder. She couldn't so mid-needle-on-bone, he tried and said too much scar tissue and that he missed. Then prescribed anti-inflammatory meds. writing was so illegible, pharmacy had to call his office. At end of appt, he said meds prob wont work and may have to wait it out. meanwhile my shoulder is killing me...definitely will not return.
