I have learned over the years that good doctors do more than just help people get well. The best doctors take personal interest in their patients and help them understand their medical conditions and treatments available. I strive to be that kind of doctor.
I have wanted to be a doctor as long as I can remember. It is a privilege to be trusted with my patients' care and I do everything I can to honor that trust. I approach each patient uniquely. I listen carefully to their story. I welcome and rely upon their input as we work together to get them well. I have had the pleasure of taking care of many children over the years and pediatric patients have a special place in my heart. As a father of three, I understand how a child might feel when sick. I am aware that they are often afraid when in a doctor's office. My staff and I take care to help them feel comfortable in our office. I give them time to get comfortable with me in the room before proceeding with an exam. I do everything I can to make their experience a positive one. Commonly, when one of my pediatric visits is over, I will leave them in the room with their parent to finish reading a book or play with a toy before going home.
