I have been a patient of Dr. Heusinkveld's for 20 years. He was my mothers doctor and as it became necessary for me to take her I chose him as my PC also. I have never been disappointed in choosing him. He is patient, caring and will listen to you about your concerns. I also sent my brother and his wife to him. We drive 70 miles one way to see him. Worth the extra time to receive the kind of care he gives.

I have been Dr. Heusinkveld's patient for a very long time at three different locations. He is kind and has a sense of humor and when I am concerned about something, he makes me calm down and assures me it will all be all right. His staff is the best I have ever known and always eager to assist me however possible. When I walk in the door the lady who is at the front desk calls me by name. There is a small town feel in a large city, a rare thing these days. I have recommended? Dr. Heusinkved.

Thank you dr Heusinkveld!! Yes I am 74 but still young at heart and healthy and appreciated that dr Heusinkveld would listen to me and not be dismissive because of my age as I experienced from someone else when I had to get a new provider. Dr Heusinkveld and staff were very helpful and courteous. Bobby williams

I've been a patient of Dr Heusinkveld's for about 8 years. He and his wonderful staff go out of their way to make sure I am well cared for. The doctor and staff never make me feel rushed or distracted from me. The big, bright and nice lobby offer tv, magazines, free flavored coffee and cold bottled water. Their location is easy to find. They even offer valet parking, or a big garage for self parking. I was a referral from a family member and couldn't be happier.

My family has known and been customers of Dr. Heusinkveld for more than 20 years. Sadly, his practice has gone downhill considerably since becoming affiliated with TriStar. I can't tell if the issue is poor corporate governance, overly burdensome administrative work, forces to drive costs lower, or what. But you shouldn't expect a high level of personal care or attention. This practice is like any other - you'll be little more than a number on a medical chart somewhere, lost forever.
We are sorry to hear about this experience in our practice and truly value your feedback. Patient experience is important to us, so we will make every effort to address the concerns you have. Please call our Practice Manager Laura at 615-342-6800 so that we can get further information to address the situation.

He has vast experience including medical conditions that cause psychiatric disturbance. Psych patients should not ignore medical conditions that contribute to psychiatric illness. Dr. Heusinkveld is the primary medical doctor for Parthenon Pavilion, Nashville's oldest psych hospital, and 7 Tower South located in Centennial Medical Center, Nashville's only medical/psych unit. 20+ years of medical experience plus he will actually talk to his patients more than 5 minutes like most doctors.
