While my patient experience has been good with him, the office experience is beyond bad. I called before today’s appointment because The last appointment I waited 1.5 hours. Today I called 1st and was told he was on time but there were a few patients before me. When I checked in was told by a less then friendly staff member “just so you know he is running quite late” I spoke to the office manager and he was sorry but it might be 40 minutes or so. Not worth the aggravation!

Dr. Hardesty has been my husband's neurologist for the past 2 and 1/2 years, since he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and Parkinsons. Dr. Hardesty spends close to an hour with us at each visit, and is always willing to listen to my concerns, and to explain things thoroughly. For that reason, there may be a prolonged wait to schedule and appointment, or for you to be seen on time. It's well worth the wait, however. Highly recommended.

I am literally sitting here right now, I’m the office, a full hour and counting after my scheduled appointment was supposed to start. I don’t know about the quality of the Dr., so far, but the lack of organization, time management, and customer service is grossly underwhelming. Not a good start to a “professional” experience. I’m losing money every hour I wait, they get paid the same from my insurance. Not amused.

Saw him in the hospital for my stroke. My personal doctor sent a referral. I’ve called three times and they don’t have the decency to call back. My doctor called today and left What a way to run a business!

Dr. Hardesty is overall excellent. He takes the time necessary to make sure all questions are addressed. Be prepared for longer wait times later in the day. Totally agree with other reviews, his office staff is another story. We are not sure if they are intentional, overwhelmed, or just incompetent or a combination there of. Because of the stress created solely by the office staff. For now we reluctantly drive down to Santa Barbara rather than continue to deal with the stress.

Dr. Hardesty is GREAT! Thorough, patient, nice man. I would have given this a 5-star review because leaving a voice mail message with his "assistant" NEVER got me any results, even when there was a semi-urgent question. I actually had to make a decision myself regarding my elderly mother's meds because I couldn't reach the assistant. Wait times aren't great both in the waiting room and in the exam room. Kinda hard with a frail mom.

Dr. Hardesty is very thorough and takes his time listening and explaining things. His office staff is a different story. I've left voice messages and have never received a call back from his staff, including his office manager/nurse, Nathan. It's extremely frustrating when I've addressed it with his staff, they don't acknowledge or apologize for being so inefficient. There's also been multiple times when we get to the appointment only to be told that dr. won't be able to see us.

My experience with Dr. Hardesty himself has been fantastic so far. He spent a great deal of time reviewing my history and listening to my concerns. He asked engaging questions and was extremely thorough. His scheduling and staff are a different story. Duration of lag-time: Called back to schedule first appointment= 1 month Actual appointment with doctor= another month waiting to be seen by the doctor at my appointment= 1 hour 15 minutes staff process referral for CT = 2 months and counting
