Dr. Foyt performed 2 surgery's on me in 2010 and 2011. The VA had missed something for years and if it wasn't for him, I may have been paralyzed on one side. He is an amazing surgeon, truly gifted. He is matter of fact yet he is very kind and compassionate. I still continue to see him and i trust him with my life.

To the angry mom reviewer. The indications for myringotomy tube placement are not mine but are set by the American Academy of Pediatrics and endorsed by The American Academy of Otolaryngology. They are a standard by which all practitioners adhere to in an effort to minimize unnecessary surgery. It is not perfect and I am sorry that your child had another infection. Regarding postop orders: the hospital gives out general orders for all practitioners, it differs from our own.

Terrific, caring doctor.Saved my ear.

My daughter had 4 ear infection in 4 months. He scheduled her for tubes, then canceled it 5 days prior b/c his standard was 5 in a year I questioned him, as she'd had 4 in 4 months, surely she'd have one more in the next 8, but he said it wasn't necessary. 2 more double ear infections followed in the next month. After surgery, he gave me a COMPLETELY different set of med instructions than post op. I called his office to ask for clarification and never returned my calls. Don't go to him!

Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.
