Lied to
I have been suffering for 10 years with undiagnosed auto immune disease. I finally after 10 yrs. recieved a diagnosis of spondylitis. I had an mri on my sacroilliac and nothing showed there, but it did show a buldging disc and osteophyte complex causing spinal cord compression and the ostephyte putting pressure on a nerve. I have read from reputable medical sites that this could cause my paralysis and numbness and all my neurological issues. I seen Dr. Forshaw recommend by my rheumatologist. He rushed the conversation, I didn’t feel like he was listening. Then he told me that this would not be causing my symptoms. Why did he lie right to my face? I have even read reviews of people with similar issues that recieved surgery. He then said you need to go back yo your rheumatologist, in which I replied, well he’s the one who sent me to you SO ……………

Excellent Neurosurgeon
I was in need of a Neurosurgeon to correct a pain in my neck and numbness and tingling to the hands. I visited Dr. Forshaw and he was very pleasant and caring. He took the time to listen to my complaints and showed he cared. When it was determined I needed surgery, he explained everything in detail and made sure I had no questions. After surgery he visited me in the room and informed me of what he had to do and how he was pleased with the outcome. During my subsequent visits to his office, Dr. Forshaw, took the time to listen how I was improving and I never felt rushed or that I was just a number. He is a great Dr. and I wholeheartedly recommend him if you are ever in a need for a Neurosurgeon!

Spinal Surgery
There is much trepidation when approaching back surgery. My situation was not pain but increasing numbness in my legs when walking or standing and was progressing in a bad way. Dr Forshaw made me feel comfortable on my initial visit. He carefully explained what was occurring. There is no medication to treat this. Surgery to remove the pressure being placed on my nerve endings at the spine or continued worsening of the situation. The surgery would remove bone from compressing on the nerves. He was very forthcoming in describing it would be painful for a few weeks. Somehow his delivery was such that I was no longer afraid to have surgery but looked forward to recovering and being normal. He and his staff were very pleasant and allowed me to make a decision with my wife. She also had concerns but was equally at ease with Dr Forshaw after he answered her questions. I am grateful for their professionalism and attention to my issue.

Neuropathy
After I had bone fusion surgery I started having awful nerve pain and when I told Dr Forshaw I was in pain he said I don’t know why you are in pain go see your pain management doctor well I found out that I have neuropathy . I wish I had known that could be something you can get from bone fusion surgery I don’t think I would have gotten the surgery. Nerve pain is the worst pain. You feel like your on fire and it goes right down the leg. Now maybe it’s from that or maybe not but it was right after the surgery that it started.

a grateful patient
After years of chronic pain,injections,MRI,s,P.T. and pain medications, I was fortunate to be able to meet with Dr. Forshaw and his staff. He explained what would be the procedure but most of all the results were better than I expected. I feel honored to be one of his patients. I would recommend Dr. Forshaw 100 percent as someone who understands your problem and best of all how to correct it, which he did. A really brilliant man, a good listener and a very competent office staff. An A+ for everyone. Many thanks to all

Outstanding surgeon
I was referred to Dr. Forshaw by my PCP. I have to say Dr. Forshaw was thorough, never rushed or pushed my decisions and each time I would meet with him his enthusiasm and his energy is the first thing you will notice. You can HONESTLY tell he loves what he does. I met with him probably 4 or so times and EVERY single visit his bedside manner was exactly the same. He was present, prepared to answer questions, prepared to tell you how hard the surgery may be, and honest. Post surgically, he and his PA's have been remarkable. All attentive, quick responses and always pleasant. I 100% would recommend Dr. Forshaw and his staff and am grateful for all their TLC in this process.

He believed me...
I suffered for years. After my first appointment, with in days my surgery was scheduled for the following week. The office took care of everything from my Doctor, hospital, insurance, lab work, all I had to do was show up. I met with Dr. Forshaw and team, before during and after my surgery also follow up appointments. Very down to earth, He didn't use "Doctor language" he explained things I would understand. For me, I loved when he joked and laugh that made me comfortable. I'm not sure why but after my surgery, I no longer wanted to smoke.
