Learn about Dr. Duchene

Care Philosophy

I have a special interest in the urologic application of minimally-invasive surgical techniques to urologic tumors, adrenal disorders, renal reconstruction and kidney stones. I believe in providing effective treatment while decreasing recovery time and pain with the use of minimally-invasive techniques. This includes using the DaVinci Robotic platform to perform Robotic Prostatectomy for prostate cancer, Partial Nephrectomy for kidney cancer and Robotic Pyeloplasty for ureteropelvic junction obstruction. I also offers laparoscopic ablation therapy for kidney lesions and endoscopic procedures for kidney stones.

in Kansas City KS |
Dr Duchene is great! My PSA was a little high and we had been monitoring it for several years before it took a jump. At that point he said it was time to remove the prostate. He and his residents did a great job of explaining what all that would mean in terms of surgery and in terms of continuing to enjoy my life. His bedside manner is a little dry, but I would recommend him to anyone!!

Dr. Duchene is very considerate of his patients. He advised me on my surgery options and chose the one that best suited my needs. He saved my left kidney, when more then likely, I was going to lose it. I would highly recommend Dr. Duchene!
