      Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.

      Dr. Cook's Care Philosophy

"Dr. Cook completed his pediatric residency as well as his Allergy/Immunology fellowship at University of California San Diego. He then relocated to the Bay Area and has been with Allergy and Asthma Medical Group since 1980. He, along with Dr. Schultz, developed the clinical research division of AAMG. He was an Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF for 20 years, having resigned recently. Dr. Cook is also Past President of the American Lung Association of Contra Costa and Solano Counties, the Allergy Association of Northern California, the Allergy Foundation of Northern California, and the Western Society of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the Western Society of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology. Dr Cook enjoys cycling, golf, theatre, and spending time with his wife; his daughter, who is a physical therapist and lives with her husband in New York; and his son, who is nearly done with a doctorate in psychology and will be working as a college psychologist.
