Great pain management doctor. Has an awesome sense of humor, listens and answers any questions I had/have. I have seen Dr. Columbus and his PA for a couple years now, and they patiently walked me through everything we tried. Ended up with a spinal cord stimulater, and it's the best thing we have tried. Would definitely recommend this doctor.

My wife was referred to Dr. Columbus for pain mgt. & diagnosis. They called and said after reviewing her records he wasn't going to accept her and gave no reason. Having family in medicine, it sounds like the Dr. was too worried about his stats of possibly not being able to figure out what was wrong. After seeing some of the reviews, this may have been a blessing in disguise. When a rational explanation is not given, assumptions are made. Simply a cowardly act Dr. Columbus.

When i first went to Dr columbus i was given injections in my spine and i was put on tramadol and vicoden which both upset my stomach. When i brought it to his PA's attention she said i needed an MRI before she could treat me further because it was nerve damage. I am on medicaid so the approval for the MRI took about 3 months and when i finally got it done i went back and she still told me there was nothing she could do it wasnt nerve damage and only cancer patients can get injections or opiates

This man was horrible! He told me I shouldn't have any pain even though I have scoliosis which leaves me in tears after work. I waited over an hour and a half and he didn't even examine me! He just looked at my X-rays and told me to do yoga. I left in tears. His nurse wasn't surprised and told me to get a second opinion. The nurses know best and she seemed to have seen this before.

ALL Veterans beware of this location! Very rude, no intentions of seeing me on 2nd visit. His assistance addressed my name as "umm" Looked for reasons for her to send me away after waiting 1hr 45mins. No apology whatsoever! Voice recorded every visit, I've seen his other negatives here. He does discriminate those with unkempt hair, disability status, Veteran, Veteran disability. Neither PA or Dr, never apologized for their tardiness. nor gave reasonable explanation for their actions. unresolved

We had a very good experience with Dr. Columbus. He was informative and took his time explaining the problems my husband was having. He was able to get my husband the referral he needed to get his shoulder diagnosed. We would definitely recommend his to anyone seeking help with pain management.

Dr. Columbus was easy to talk to, listened to what I had to say. He did spend time going over what he was going to do. I got right in for an appointment.

Doctor Columbus needs to study Tarlov Cyst disease so in the future when a MRI is performed he will know to look in the sacral where the are located. Not just tell the patient it's gone sometimes they just go away.
in Wiggins, CO |
I had a severe reaction to steroid shots. He performed them without anesthesia (at my request), gave me 4 injections-charged me for six. He told me the reaction had nothing to do with the injections at the surgery center. Was still having issues weeks later, ended up in emergency room for extreme elevated blood pressure. Could not or would not return calls, nurse wouldn't help either. Would NEVER go back. Was very nice in initial visit, was sarcastic and uncaring in others.
in Fort Collins, CO |
He spent two minutes in the room with me, took my $50 and said there was nothing he could do to help me.....didn't explain anything, just said he couldn't help. This is the worst Doctor i have ever seen, he doesn't give a rip about his patients only his money. I hope someday you have your arm cut off and no one helps you, then maybe you will understand what it is like ti have a twisted ovary, severe periods and have someone say sorry i cant help you.
Very rude, insensitive to patience
in Loveland, CO |
Staff was extremely short-tempered and rude. I waited 8 weeks for an appointment, then waited 20 minutes in the exam room for Dr. Columbus. He was right outside the door chit-chatting. He did a 0.5 second exam before giving his opinion as fast as an auctioneer, then spent the rest of the visit telling me about his upcoming vacation.
