I was referred to Dr Cognetti for surgery after I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2020. Having traveled 3.5 hours for my pre-op visit for a partial thyroidectomy, he took time to explain what he would be doing, listened to my concerns and came up with a plan if my concerns turned out to be founded, and followed through, saving me a second surgery. After care was just as thorough and personable as my pre-op. Knowing I live hours away, Dr Cognetti offered to meet with me virtually unless I had complications (thankfully, i did not). Even virtually, I was impressed with his thoroughness and caring manner.

I was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer, a very difficult situation even as a physician myself. I have know Dr Cognetti for years and my experience from preop to surgery to postop was first class. He is kind, compassionate and a highly skilled surgeon. I would highly recommend him and his staff.

My first visit Dr. Cognetti was a great visit. He listened to my concerns, answered all of my questions, exercised patience with my concerns, and provided a very detailed visual to help me completely understand the procedure of the Thyroidectomy that I had to have. Later, Dr. Cognetti performed my Thyroidectomy. He took the time to find the perfect crease in my neck to blend the scar, he helped me feel comfortable with the process, and he had a very well-trained team.

I had bilateral sialendoscopy on my parotid glands November 6, 2020. Dr. Congnetti and Tyler with the additional staff (sorry I don't remember their names) and nurses Sean, Paula and Pauline gave me great, professional post-op care. They kept my pain under control and in recovery I was very nauseous, sweating and hot. They did everything to help me get comfortable. As an RN I truly was impressed by the care I received from everyone. In May, I spent 6 days in a local hospital for infectious ischemic colitis and the care I received was below subpar. With the pandemic, you don't have family to help you. I was on Telemetry and my IVAC machine beeped for 1/2 hour along with my call bell before my husband called and told them to go in my room. I know great care when I see it and receive it. Thank you all so much for the great care.

I had a 2 centimeter Saliva stone in my neck for years because all the Doctors in Connecticut, Massachusetts & New York wanted to perform major surgery to remove the whole gland. I drove 6 hours to Philly for Dr Cognetti’s Sialendoscopy. My best decision, Dr Cognetti and his team were nothing short of awesome. I drove back to CT the next day with no issues and the follow up visit was done over the phone. His procedure is FAR less risky, shorter recovery time, a 1/3 of the cost and he saved the gland..????Thank You Doc and team, Great Job

Dr. Cognetti is amazing! He listened to everything I had to say and made sure that I was totally comfortable with my decision to move forward with surgery. My situation was elective and he pointed out the pros and cons of such and helped me to understand what he would be trying to accomplish for me. As it turns out, he did an awesome job, I am feeling well and would highly recommend him to anyone!! A real down to earth doctor!!
