I am in absolute awe of Coastal Orthopedics, specifically, Dr. David Cashen, Camille Dupont, PA-C, and Hillary McGonigle, RMA. I had out-patient total right hip replacement on May 8, 2020, and I cannot believe how quickly I recovered and got my life back. This team is the best and work together perfectly. They answered all my questions and never rushed me to move on to next appt. They all treated me like family throughout the entire process. I really cannot thank them enough for their great care. I love this group and only trust them with my orthopedic care.

Now has been two years (5/2017) since have TKR with a custom Conformis knee with Dr. David Cashen. And, I snow skied on five ski trips this year. At this point I can't tell the difference from my good original left knee & my replaced right knee. I am active and bike daily & was good with therapy. But, I am astounded with the results. It should be noted, there was a problem in my surgery as the custom jig from Conformis that was supposed to give Dr. Cashen the exact computerized angles & specic spots to make the bone cuts couldn't be properly attached for some unusual reason. It resulted in Dr. Cashen having to go to the computer to redesign the exact angles & bone cuts for an extra 1.5 hours of surgery. Well, apparently Dr. Cashen's Havard education, knowlege & experience allowed him to complete the task to perfection.... Again, I now do not even know I have a knee replacement. I will say he was a bit short on bed side manner, but made up for it in the success of my TKR.

Dr. Cashen- This is your total knee replacement patient Lynda Denise Lacey-you did mysurgery on January 17, 2019-3 weeks ago. I am doing everything I was told to do and am still in pain! Yesterday, the 8th day of February, Hillary called me and said that Camille would be calling in only one more RX for pain and that I should let them last and to take aleve and other over the counter meds to help with my pain. I will go into withdrawal.why can't you wean me off by going down to 5mg,etc.

Every aspect of surgery explained. No surprises. Dr Cashen was a master for both of my (TWO) total knee replacements. Due to osteoarthritis, both knees needed replacement; the 1st in August, and 2nd in December. I completed PT, and followed directions. I can happily say it is 'good to walk again'! Camille, the PA was excellent in her follow-through and Eddie, one of the techs did an excellent job in removing staples, and my incision scars are hardly noticeable. GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Dr Cashen replaced both of my hips about 1 year ago and I am a new person. I went to him almost unable to walk with my hip pain and after both procedures I was pain free. Dr Cashen and his staff are the best. They are not only knowledgeable but very kind and caring. Dr Cashen always has a smile and very easy to talk to.

would never recommend him to anyone. He fractured my Pelvis on 1-8-18, during a routine Hip Replacement and put me into a Wheelchair for 6 Weeks and another 6 Weeks on a Walker. I had the other Hip replaced on 10-8-18 at the Cleveland Clinic and could walk without any assistance after one Week. Now 2.5 Weeks after Surgery, i am walking 30 Minutes per day without any assistance.

I presented to Dr Cashen with the complaint of a test result showing a crack in the cement (and pain with hip popping) of my 13 year old replacement. He viewed the film, saw the crack. He really studied it, stated he didn't think it was urgent, but, opened a non-surgical day to get me scheduled. He was kind, answered questions and seemed very knowledgable. 14 days post op, and i do believe my years long pain has been eradicated with this surgery. Explaining the procedure, I'm forever happy.

I was recommended to Dr. Cashen by a co-worker who had gone through Knee replacement. From the moment Dr. Cashen walked into the examination room, I felt totally at ease with him. He had a big smile on his face when he came in and immediately shook my hand. He explained how I would be a candidate for Bilateral replacements because my knees were in such bad shape. He really took away any fears I had about the surgery and I looked forward in anticipation for my surgery day.

I had been having trouble with my knee, being in pain, and falling some of the time due to the arthritis being bone on bone. I just took a chance, and picked Dr. Cashen from my insurance booklet, and I hit the jackpot! He helped me to understand what was happening with my knee and took the time to explain the surgery and even showed me what my new knee would look like. Surgery went fine, and rehab helped me to get back on my feet. He is so caring and takes time with his patients. Truly a gem
