Horrible experience. I had sinus cavity issues, he didn't listen to me. He didn't check on my sinuses at all. The entire visit took 5 minutes. He fixed my septum, but as per another doctor, it is still not straight. There were no pre-op or post-op instructions, they mistyped my email address and it didn't dawn on them when the email bounced back there might be something wrong. I called the day after surgery with several concerns, it took Dr. Carlson 1 week to call me back. I told him that and he mumbled let me check on a few things, and then he never called me back. The 2nd follow up visit, I told his assistant Sam (she is very thorough and listens) that I do not wish to come back. She told front desk to order a scan from Precision Imaging for my sinuses and to also fax my records to my new ENT, 2 weeks later I called the office back, the order for my scan and transfer of records were not done. Also be aware the audiologist in his office is out-of-office, which I told not told.

Dr. Carlson is a vital and valued addition to my team of physicians. I have complicated health issues and feeling comfortable and trusting each doctor and my collective group of doctors is critical for improving. I value seeing Dr. Carlson instead of being sent to a nurse, not to say that nurses are not valued, but complicated health issues required the expertise and education of a physician. Thank you, Dr. Carlson, for your caring nature and medical expertise and skill. Your caring, welcoming, and sincere nature is refreshing and goes a long way to my well-being. You look at my health holistically. I can relax knowing that I can trust you and that you are committed to improving my health.

Surgery was his first recommendation. Did not help. Got second opinion and new doctor told me surgery would be last resort. Feeling much better now with new treatment. Stay sway from Dr. Carlson!

My mother had frozen vocal cords. Drs at Baptist South couldn't solve the puzzle. Went to Brooks Rehab and met Dr. Carlson. Within one (1) day, yes the first visit, figured out the problem. Now my mother, forever grateful with ALL her ENT issues. He speaks Spanish to her, is very attentive, asks specific questions to get to the issues. The word has gotten out that he is the Best of the BEST.
