Burns informed me that I didn't have Barretts, before performing my endoscopy. When I told him I was already diagnosed with it (this endoscopy was to check on it) he told me that wasn't true and there's no way because I'm "too young". He talked to me like a child, showed no respect, and no remorse. After the procedure, which came back positive for Barretts (shocker), I gave him a call to tell him it was wrong to plant doubt in my head and that he acted unprofessionally. After he gave a fake apology, I hung up. Hi Dr. Burns! Still have Barretts :)

I have seen Dr Burns for a few heads after being shuffled from doctor to doctor because they all keep leaving. dr Burns does not believe in women’s health. He never listened to me, never offered solutions and often would only talk about if I knew his in-town friends. He has a huge ego with no skill set to match it. He’s just waiting out his time to retire. He has no interest in helping. He has no passion for medicine. The only test he ran for me was a cystic fibrosis test, he scared me about nothing. He openly will talk poorly about other doctors at Lahey and will minimize every symptom you have. He has refused to help me since my negative cystic fibrosis test. No ideas, no brainstorming, no indication he’s even reading/listening to what I’m saying. I do not suggest ANY women seeing him. He waisted years of my life. I fired him.

There is no one on this planet like Dr. Burns. In all regards of intelligence, patient care, trust, urgency responsiveness, ability to break conditions down and explain with care and precision to a patient, he exceeds time and time again. I travel out of state just to stay in his care!

First of all, he was on time for both of my visits!! This is rare. Dr. Burns was attentive and took the time to really listen. He seemed to be very knowledgeable, is extremely thorough, and he explained things so I easily understood. He also made me feel very much at ease. He is different from other specialists I have gone to and I am grateful I made the move to see him.
