My folks paid a whopping $1,650.00 for me to join MDVIP so I could see Dr. Abbey, and I felt compelled to go along, given that the money was spent. What a total waste of my precious time! This practice is mediocre at best. Abbey refers to incompetent specialists who do not care, and it's clear to me that this office is used to working with geriatrics, not younger people like me. They are prone to histrionics and while my folks told me they would leave no stone unturned to find the cause of my health issues, I'm no better off. Abbey passes the buck to seriously crummy specialists, one of whom raised my benzo dose while the intent was to taper. I've returned to my own PCP, and I'm just so happy to be back with a doctor who's warm and caring, unlike Dr. Abbey. These people seem to feel entitled to micromanage your life as part of the MDVIP package, boasting about same day appts. I can already get those with my own PCP. Save your money and your time for more than mediocrity.
