South Elgin |
Dr Moxon was recommended by my husband's primary physician for a colonoscopy. We could not have been happier with the experience that he hayd. He briefly met the doctor prior to the procedure. He spoke to us again after the colonoscopy and evesn checked in with my husband again as he was walking out the door. About a week later, the doctor himself called my husband to share the final results of his test. He was friendly and professional. All staff at the surgery center on Dean St. were great

Dr. Moxon's personality is quirky and his bedside manner can be a bit offputting, no doubt. However, he is the first gastroenterologist that took the time to listen to me, (although he did cut me off once or twice with some questions of his own), and mapped out a plan for my care. I am not a fan of communicating via email and medical assistant, but that is the way it is done now. So, my recommendation would be this: underneath his personality lies a very good doctor. Go for it.

I read reviews here before I went to see Dr. Moxon, so I was braced to be offended. Instead, I met a really lovely man who was informative, knowledgeable, helpful, attentive, compassionate – all the things you want a doctor to be. I will be seeing him again, and I’ll let you know if my opinion changes, but I doubt it will. He is a professional, and I highly recommend him to anyone.
St Charles, IL |
I spent a total of 5 minutes with the doctor and this was before the procedure and after the procedure. I didn't not have enough time to have any interaction with him but I was taken back by one comment and how he said it. "At my age I need to start exercising and loose weight and the importance of it." Had he explained why he made this comment and the long term effects and potential risks for the future I would not have been as put off by the comment. Poor communicator!
in Aurora, IL |
Unkind, arrogant, dismissive, aggressive, rude. He clearly did not want to treat my symptoms because they required thought and time as opposed to being a straightforward procedure. No help. If I could give him less than 1 star I would.

I am remiss for not leaving a review sooner. It has been five years since I have benefited from Dr Maxon's great care. It was necessary to perform surgery in my case and I recovered quite well. Due to the Dr's dietary recommendations I have a much healthier diet and colon. Why am I leaving a review now? A friend asked for a recommendation, I looked up the Dr's info and that's how I ended up here. I had to weigh in since I have had such long lasting benefits from my encounter with Dr. Maxon.

Dr Moxon is rude and heartless, he has no manners . He does not care about you or your suffering. He did not call me him self with test results . I will never see him again. Miserable human being!
