Dr. Nawabi is the perfect combination of skilled surgeon and human being. He was thorough, caring, patient, took the time to explain options, what to expect, answer questions, and always had a smile. The surgery was 100% successful and I have full use of my shoulder.

I lived with significant bone on bone pain in my right knee for 2 years. I had various injections until the pain was an 8-10 on most days. The local recommendations were to do a full knee replacement. I researched partial knee replacements and found #1 ranked Orthopedic Surgery center at HSS. I found Dr. Nawabi and after my consultation I knew he was my surgeon. My partial replacement results are excellent. I traveled 3+ hours - so make the trip you owe it to yourself! I am -Back in the Game!

Had a type 2 SLAP Labrum tear. Dr. Nawabi performed a successful surgery and was extremely helpful throughout the recovery answering any questions I had and making sure my recovery was going smoothly. I've since regained full strength and mobility. He did a great job.

My husband just completed his 1 year follow up for his hip replacement performed by Dr. Danal Nawabi at Hospital for Special Surgeries in Manhattan. I shouldn't have waited to write a review. We consulted with a Dr from a large local group in Poughkeepsie, NY and Dr. Nawabi at HSS. Night and day. It was a fabulous experience from every aspect: the streamlined professionalism of HSS, Dr Nawabi's ability as a skilled surgeon and his outstanding patient caring and communication.

Dr. Nawabi's office is uncaring. I brought all my information to the office, and they did not make copies of any of it. Instead of explaining anything, they just said they were too busy. Awful. They took three weeks to tell me that Dr. Nawabi would not see me, and then said they were too busy to say why.

No one looks forward to a hip replacement but this practice makes it as good as it gets! Dr. Nawabi is so thorough and professional. I had both hips replaced by him and his team in under three months. I required no pain medication following the surgeries. My gait and stride were back to normal in no time with physical therapy. The whole staff is so upbeat, they are a complete pleasure to deal with. Concerns are addressed quickly and thoroughly I recommend this practice without hesitation.

I was completely satisfied with Dr. Nawabi. He is both a superbly skilled surgeon and an excellent communicator and motivator. Dr. Nawabi kept me fully informed and prepared prior to my surgery, and his personal follow-up post-surgery made my recovery easier to manage and motivated me to be diligent with my strengthening exercises. The care I received from Dr. Nawabi and his staff was excellent. He even proactively made sure I had the best possible PT support during my recuperation.

On January 20 I underwent surgery for Rotator Cuff and other problems of my shoulder. The surgery was performed by Dr. Nawabi. I am so grateful to him for the excellent job he did My recovery is taking place even faster than anticipated despite my age (am 69 y/o), I felt very little of the pain that I expected to feel after the surgery, and I didn't even have to take painkillers. My arm is regaining its abilities quickly, and I credit Dr Nawabi's skill and expertise as a surgeon for these

I'm a 53 year old female who tore my acl, mcl and meniscus in a skiing accident on 2/18. I had a consult with Dr. Nawabi who was very reassuring that my decision to have the acl reconstruction was the right one. I prehabbed for 6 weeks and had the surgery on 3/30. I did not have a nerve block but there was no pain post surgery, only discomfort from swelling. I started PT day 4 post surgery and am now 3 weeks in. Dr. Nawab is an amazing surgeon and one of the smartest people I have ever met.

The care was excellent as was the office administration. Only complaint is the wait for surgery - 3 hours after scheduled time - otherwise experience was top notch. Will definetly recommend to others. Thanks again.

Dr. Nawabi is an excellent surgeon, and I recommend him unconditionally to anyone needing knee replacement surgery. His professional interactions with the patient are reassuring, both immediately after surgery and following recuperation. I have the highest confidence in Dr. Nawabi's surgical skills, and that is why I selected him from a list of HSS surgeons.

I had a right shoulder inflammation that was preventing me from playing sports and sleeping at night. Dr. Nawabi's knowledge of the joints, their movements and the muscles controlling the movement was incredibly impressive. More importantly his way of explaining the issues were thorough and credible. Doctor's Nawabi's recommended first step (of potentially many) has cured 98% of my pain and I am back playing sports.

Just had a first hip replacement with Dr. Nawabi. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. He has an excellent "bedside manner" and communicates thoroughly from the first consultation through the post-surgery check ups. After discharge from the hospital, I had no need of pain meds. His PAs are very responsive to any post discharge questions. I always heard back within hours. BAsed on this experience, I just scheduled the second hip replacement at the earliest possible date.
