Excellent Neurosurgeon
Dr. Waltzman performed life saving emergency surgery on my mother who had a ruptured brain aneurysm in 2017. She spent a few weeks in the ICU and then a few weeks in rehab. She came out fully functioning. She has since been seeing him for follow ups. He performed a second surgery when he discovered an unruptured aneurysm. It is visible he is excellent in his craft and extremely knowledgeable. He implanted a coil he thought would be best for my mother (with her consent), but was still pending FDA approval. Lo and behold it received FDA approval since. He takes his time and patiently listens to my mother’s every concern. He also thoroughly reviews test results and her medications list. My mother and I have full faith in him. We are very grateful to him for his work.

Just had my one year follow up for an emergency surgery to repair a dissected carotid artery that could have easily left me with overwhelming paralysis or the worst case scenario would have been a meeting with the grim reaper. Fortunately for me Dr Walzman came to my rescue and repaired the damage with a couple of stents behind and above my left ear. Everything looked good on the scan this week and my medications were adjusted to just one full strength aspirin a day. All of my interactions with Dr Walzman - from speaking to him while awake during the surgery, to my follow up exams in his office , to this one year checkup - were handled with the utmost professionalism by someone with the best medical credentials I have ever seen. I am so happy to have met this brilliant surgeon and consider myself very fortunate to have had this repair done by him. His wry sense of humor is great too. Additionally, all the staff and assistants I interacted with at NJ Brain and Spine are really wonderful

Dr. Walzman is a life saver! I have unconditional and complete confidence in his medical expertise and surgical abilities. He performed 3 surgeries on me: aneurysm clipping 2011; pipeline embolizations 2017-1 - each, a success! Dr. W. is a brilliant, no-nonsense surgeon who provides his patients with the best treatment possible. He has always made me feel comfortable and confident, even in light of unfortunate test results. I would not entrust my brain tissue in anyone else's hands but his :-)

Dr.Walzman saved my son's life. My son was 10 years old and had a stroke due to an AVM which caused a bleed in the left temporal lobe. He was also diagnosed with two brain aneurysms, and a hematoma. He had multiple angiograms. Then he had gamma knife surgery, embolizations, and radiation of the AVM all between 2011-2013. Dr.Walzman is a gifted surgeon, kind, conscientious, and I will be forever grateful to him. My son had another angiogram in August of 2016 and the AVM is gone ! Michelle Risquet

I was an emergency case in 2014. I have had aneurysm rupture, repaired by Dr Walzman. Six months later Dr Walzman repaired another aneurysm with a stent. I have seen him many times at the hospital, and his office. He was professional, caring, efficient, explained everything to me and answered every question. Sometimes he has emergencies and appointments had to be changed. Speaking as one, I am forever grateful someone else's appointment got changed. The nature of his job! He's the best there is!
