Cutting-edge healthcare delivered in an ideal way. Dr. Slaughter has obviously high mental and physical energy, which he uses adroitly to address issues other ENTs can’t begin to address. I had the singularly galling experience of being told to ‘wait out’ my hearing condition without so much as a shrug with my first ENT; the experience with this good doctor undid the negative effects and moved me directly from despair to hope. Not (m)any doctors can do that, so, highly recommended with as many stars as can fit :)

I got just about everything done... deviated septum, septoplasty, uvula removed, and the shot of acid in the back of the throat. And why was my throat shot BEFORE I went under? That was a horrible memory. Anyhow, for the first couple months my snoring was only 30% better based on Snore Lab. 4 months in my nose is still sore from surgery, I choke on things I drink because my uvula is gone (don’t do this!), and my throat is scratchy. Two years later…. my snoring seems worse. Looking back, I didn't like how the whole process was a money making machine. From the GoPro up the nose to sell me on the expensive surgery to the $100 post-op office visit to use an expensive tool to pick snot out of my nose, where a qtip at home would do just fine. Only saw the doctor when I was sold on all three procedures and a glimpse of him with a needle coming to my throat as I was starting to go under. So, buyer beware, because this was all out of pocket for me. Good luck fellow snorer!

I was very impressed with the staff and Dr. Slaughter. Very professional and made me feel comfortable. Dr.Slaughter treated me like a mattered. He even drew a picture for me to exactly show me where my problem was and explained what the procedure would be going forward. His nurse Ericka was exceptional. I had a couple questions the next day and she called me back right away to answer my concerns.

A perfect place for my hearing problems. He took care of me in a timely, professional and courteous way. I even travel from Houston to Austin a three hour drive. He also have an audiologist Mr. William Boggess who took care of me patiently and professionally. A prefect place to buy a hearing aid

Dr. Slaughter resolved my chronic sinus infection condition about 3 years ago. I remained infection free until now due to the fact that I hadn't followed through with my allergy drop therapy. I had 3 prior surgeries that didn't involve the balloon sinuplasty procedure that didn't resolve my condition so I was a bit skeptical when I first consulted with Dr. Slaughter given his confidence that he could resolve my condition. His confidence was well placed and I was so happy to have no more infections for over 3 years. I'm finishing a round of anti-biotics and will follow through with the allergy drop therapy. I have recommended Dr. Slaughter to several friends/colleagues given my excellent results and continue to do so. Finally, his office is well run, staff is very polite and knowledgeable, well beyond what you typically see.

After meeting with three different ENTs this is the first doctor to understand my condition. Unlike the other doctors he is the first to treat not only the condition and symptoms. I am also being treated for prevention of the condition for a successful life post surgery. I would definitely make a point to schedule an appointment if you have nasal issues.

I refer all of my EENT related patients to Dr. Slaughter, and see him myself. Dr. Slaughter is one of the few EENT's in Austin that really listens to his patients and really engages in critical thinking and problem solving, finding the best (and often creative) solutions to his patient's health challenges. He is a delight to work with, he is patient, kind and informative. His office is lovely, clean, organized. His staff are well informed/ trained and unfailingly pleasant (always a good sign when staff seems happy and relaxed and are able to answer questions easily). Thanks to Dr Slaughter and his staff for one of the best medical experiences I've had in Austin. A breath of fresh air (that I can appreciate better now that I can breathe better).

My visit was very informative. Dr Slaughter told me what was causing my problem and presented me with a plan that would help me. He even had a second plan just in case it didn't work. I was relieved after talking with him knowing my situation was correctable.

After several failed visits with other doctors, I was very impressed with my first appointment with Dr. Slaughter. When you walk in you see a well-run, professional, patient safety aligned facility with a staff that is both friendly and efficient. Dr. Slaughter is obviously a leading expert in his field. He makes eye contact with you when you speak and listens...yes, listens. As a result his path to prognosis is focused with procedures and observations that lead to the best options for treatment. He's a man with a "plan," and inspires confidence in his abilities. A plus is that all necessary testing can be completed right there in office so that you have immediate results that day and can proceed with a treatment plan without delay. Impressive.
