Dr. Pohlman is thorough, patient, caring and a good diagnostician. I appreciate that he is pragmatic when ordering tests that would aid in treatment decisions rather than being “test happy.” This goes hand in hand with his terrific listening skills to try and get to the heart of what is ailing you. His office is well run as well.

The annual preventative visit with Dr. Pohlman went alright however Rush Primary Clinic's billing procedures was erroneous and extremely frustrating. Following the visit, I received a bill for $500+! I have comprehensive insurance and it should have only been $20 co-pay. After some investigation, I realized that they had billed patient visit and blood work under two separate payment codes. I called Aetna and Rush many times to resolve this issue. Very inconvenient. Rush billing was unapologetic.

I simply cannot say better things about Dr. Pohlman. **He is absolutely the best.** If you want a PCP who cares about you and listens to you, you have to see Dr. Pohlman. I have never had another physician who even compares. He has been my PCP for more than a decade, my husband is now a patient of his, and he has also managed the care of my parents at the end of their lives. He always makes time for me, even when it's minor. I know I can always trust his advice implicitly.
