Dr Oberer and Joy Dr Oberer’s and his staff are the most comforting to their patients. They genuinely care about you. I have had 2 Low back surgeries and left the hospital without pain, the last being June 2021 I have many complicated medical issues but Dr Oberer was not afraid to go ahead with the surgeries. In my case he is the best Stephanie

I have not seen Dr. Oberer since Dec. 2020 my final follow up appointment following an SI Joint fusion surgery in June 2020. Despite the surgery’s less than optimal results, I believe Dr. Oberer is an excellent neurosurgeon that I would highly recommend him to my friends and family. He also has a very good team which can not be said for many other spine specialists.

Excellent experience as always. Exceptional Dr, outstanding personality and cares so much about his patients and their care. Thank you so very much, because of you I'm walking around without pain which I had been for the last 15+ years. My back is totally feeling fine now.

I first was seen by Dr. Oberer in 2015 because my prior back surgeon told me that he felt I had MS due to increasing arm weakness and I wanted a 2nd opinion. Dr. Oberer diagnosed me with cervical stenosis and immediately performed a ACDF surgery. I immediately felt relief and strength in my arms. Since then, I have required 5-6 various surgeries to “correct” problems that arose from surgeries performed by my prior back surgeon. Dr. Oberer has given me a new lease on life and saved me from unnecessary pain and potential paralysis. Thank you Dr. Oberer.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Oberer at the Charlotte location for close to 10 years. He’s an exceptional surgeon and has performed three necessary surgeries on my spine through the years. He’s phenomenal!

Awful Had a failed surgery for lumbar fusion 2 level. Within 2 weeks all the rods and screws broke and caused severe spinal damage. He used wrong size and number of rods and screws. Spine is now totally fused from neck down. Had 4 major surgeries in 2 years to “fix” me. Can no longer work or earn a living. In pain. Experience was awful from poor attitude to lack of professionalism.

I have had 2 surgeries so far on my lower back the 1st one actually worked but I reinjured it bc of my career. The 2nd one Dr. Oberer did & even tho we thought it was going to it didn't work & I'm actually worse so after another MRI it's come to the decision that I need the fusion which by the way he had discussed the 1st time but we thought the other kind of surgery would work. I trust this surgeon with my life & trust me I don't just say that about anybody! He attentive & I highly recommend

I was asked to bring copies of my records including the MRI to my appt. After looking at the MRI, Dr Oberer immediately said it was too "grainy" to read and another needed to be ordered. He walked me to the sched. desk , waved and said goodbye. Despite my significant pain/condition the scheduler could only get me a new MRI in 2 weeks and she told me "do not expect to hear from the doctor after the MRI because it can take up to 2 weeks to read". I was billed $300 for 5 minutes and zero treatment
