Dr. Daniel Murtaugh Sr., is “everything you expect from your physician”. At 66 yo, I have an expectation of what I want in my specialty physician and Dr. Murtaugh is the whole package. From introducing himself from our first appointment to his shirt/tie and bright white lab coat. He exudes “professionalism and confidence” which is what I expect in my physician. His explanations of test results are “clear, concise and direct”. I recommend Dr. Murtaugh to all new patients without reservation.

Dr.Murtagh is the best! Very professional yet down to earth. Easy to be with. As a patient he talks to me, not at me. Should I ever require surgery (hopefully not) I would not hesitate to have Dr.Murtagh in my corner! I know I’m in good hands.I wish more Doctors were like him. When Dr. Murtagh retired a couple of years ago I was at a loss as to what Urologist I would go to. You can imagine my delight when Dr. Murtagh decided to return to practice. UT is lucky and should be proud to have him!

Dr murtagh and his staff could not have been kinder, more sensitive or more professional. My problem was diagnosed quickly and a nonsurgical remedy was prescribed. Just wish i would have been referred earlier-would have avoided a lot of discomfort.

Communication is sometimes difficult between doctors and patients and I have had some bad experiences with urologists in the past. As soon as I met Dr. Murtagh all my worries went away. He treated me as if I were a member of his own family. He explained everything perfectly to me, was very caring and concerned with my health, and most importantly he listened to me. He is an amazing doctor and I highly recommend him to anyone that desires the best quality care in the field of urology. Thanks Dr.

When I first Dr. Murtagh, I was not comfortable with him, because he seemed rather quiet and didn't seem very jovial. But after a few visits pre-surgery, and then through the surgery- and him finally remembering what I have done for a living- he then perked up and always met me with a smile. Seems like a "pretty good Joe."

He was the first doctor to properly examine me and had a real conversation about what was and wasn't going on in my body. He was prepared to speak with me and I actually enjoyed my visit. I would recommend him to anyone with issues in his expertise.

I am a retired physician and therefore have experience on the delivery side of medical practice and know of its difficulties. Now as a consumer of medical care I can tell when a doctor has overcome those difficulties and mastered the delivery of medical care. Dr, Murtagh has certainly done that. He is timely, personable, listens carefully, is clear in his thought process and description of your issue, outlines his plan clearly, and carries out his evaluation with excellent technique.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Murtagh. He was very cordial, put me at ease immediately. He described my condition in a simple, easy to understand manner, and offered an easy solution. He also suggested a follow-up to confirm his initial findings. My concerns over the last several years were put to rest by his explainations.

Dr. Murtagh is awesome. He takes the time to talk with you and then figures out the root cause of your problem. He found prostate cancer in me and removed part of my prostate surgically. His knowledge and care is second to no one.
