Dr. Daniel J. McHugh attended the University of Louisville on a National Merit Scholarship and earned a Master's of Science degree in Exercise Physiology while working as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for the University's Athletic Department. After graduating from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, he completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University. While there, he was awarded the American Medical Association's Leadership Award for his work with disabled athletes. Dr. McHugh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and has sub-specialty certification in Pain Medicine. He has been recognized for several years as one of Nashville's "Top Doctors" by US News & World Report, Nashville Lifestyles Magazine, and Castle Connolly medical survey.
