Dr Daniel doesn’t understand when the patient is in pain and don’t want to run diagnostic, but still insisted to run diagnostics. On December 8 I had a appointment for diagnostic I explained that I was in pain and don’t wanted to run the electric stock of my nerves, however he still did tha diagnostic and caused me pain stressed and anxiety on the visit. I do not recommend this neurologist to anyone

I've been having pain, tingling and numbness in my foot and ankle post surgery with unexplained toe twitching. My orthopedic suggested I get a nerve test to rule out nerve damage. Dr. Macgowan asked me if I was upset about my injury, because his wife was also upset about her injuries when she fell. He also told me to stop babying my injury. I work on my feet 8-9 hours a day. Im not sure how that's babying a foot and ankle injury. He asked me if my family was ok. They're fine. Are YOU ok, Dr. M?

This was absolutely the worst experience with a doctor that I've ever had. He has a terrible bedside manner. He was insensitive and short with me. He was completely unhelpful on what could be causing my symptoms and was dismissive. He basically told me everything was in my head. After leaving I felt confused and depressed. I wish I would have read his reviews prior to seeing him because other people shared similar experiences. I found comfort that other people felt the same way.

Dr Macgowan noticed weakness in my wife's legs while doing a routine neurological nerve conduction examination he ordered several X rays of my wife's pelvis which were showed that her hips were in imminent danger of collapse ,if it were not for this good Dr. my wife might have had a hip fracture while traveling soon on our vacation to a place one would not wish to have surgery .

He asked me about my wife's cancer, my wife was his patient getting nerve conduction testing ,my wife never had cancer, he had the wrong patients chart on his examination devices ,did not check birthdates.

Dr. Macgowan, whom I sought for a second opinion, was unpleasant, sullen, and uncommunicative. He refused to take me as a patient because he said I had too much history and another neurologist. He told me essentially to "get out" and go to my other MD. He would answer no questions. Especially when he wanted to do his "thing,"an EMG, and I had just done one for another ailment, he really became hostile. He asked questions, and never entered it into a computer. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!
New York, NY |
I saw him several years ago to see if my symptoms indicated carpal tunnel, a standard procedure. He was in a bad mood, didn't listen to me, and was nasty overall. He looked at my fingernails and told me I had lung cancer. I did not then, and do not now. He was angry when I refused a chest X-ray. He barked at me when I tried to confirm that he would send the results to the referring physician. He may be an excellent doctor, but he is a miserable human being.
